Roleplay - 29th of October

Lancaster smiles, grateful to have offered her some comfort. He dislikes seeing a fellow member in trouble and will stick by their side if they need any support. He returns to sentry duty but this time stays on the ground. He doesn't exactly trust himself to stand up on high places.

Linda starts to forage again, feeling the onset of hunger returning. She digs at the ground, hoping to uncover something worth eating.

Lancaster looks up at the sky as he hears the flapping sound of several wings over head. He sees a flock of drongos and watches them with interest.

Linda moves from spot to spot as she digs, only finding small prey. They will have to do. Like she planned, she'd rather go a day with insufficient food than spend it with Buckeye. She should spend some of the time away thinking of a backup plan. She needs something to fall back on if she gets evicted. She shrugs it off. Food comes first.

Lancaster sees a few drongos gathering where Linda is foraging but doesn't fix his attention on the impending food thieving. He turns his attention to scanning the landscape for potential dangers.

Linda uncovers two beetles. She sets the first on the ground and goes into the hole to get the second. As she does so, a drongo swoops down and snatches the beetle. Linda comes up with the second to see the first in the clutches of the annoying pest. She drops the one she has to try to get the other back, only for another drongo to snatch the other beetle. She growls and moves to a new spot.

One of the drongos lands near Lancaster waiting to see if he starts to forage so it can snatch the first thing he finds right from under his nose. Lancaster ignores the drongo. Despite being hungry, he isn't interest in foraging at the moment and is focused on keeping a watchful eye out for danger.

The drongo follow Linda to another spot. She moves again, this time running, and they still follow. She gives up and heads into the burrow. She feels the urge to sleep, this time in the safety of the burrow.

The drongo that's planted itself next to Lancaster moves around him chirping annoyingly as it refuses to leave until it gets a morsel from him. The bird figures Lancaster will have to forage eventually and waits patiently until he gives in to his hunger. Lancaster growls annoyed by the drongo's presence and chases it off. He resumes gaurd duty after making sure the drongo is gone for good.

Linda sticks her head into the chamber where the pups are. She just wants to make sure Lavender has them handled.

Lavender is in a deep sleep laying next to the litter of pups. She's unaware of Linda checking in.

Lancaster growls annoyed that the drongos are still hanging around but tries his best to ignore them as he scans the landscape for potential predators and rival groups.

Linda smiles and exits, heading for an empty chamber to sleep in. She lays down in one and curls up.

Lancaster starts to self groom himself. He's taking the advantage of the tranquility to get rid of some ticks he had picked up unknowingly sometime during the morning.

Snowflake feels full, so he goes into the shade with Jackie.

Linda can't sleep, so she decides to think. She needs to think ahead incase she gets evicted. Where would she go? She's sure next time she won't easily be let back in still pregnant, and Ninja has dissappeared.

Lancaster grooms down his belly, removing a couple of ticks that have clinged themselves on there. He looks up for a brief moment to check for danger then, after seeing that it's safe, resumes to grooming himself.

Linda realizes she's still hungry. Maybe the drongos are gone. She gets up and starts to make her way above ground again.

Lancaster finishes up his self grooming and raises back up on his hind legs to keep watch. He looks around thinking of foraging around the burrow now that he's feeling hungry himself.

Linda comes up and looks around for any drongos. She doesn't see any. Now maybe she can forage in peace. She goes to a patch of sand and starts to dig.

Lancaster checks for any dangers before doing some foraging of his own. With the coast all clear, he lowers his head to the ground and starts digging where he was standing. He has a feeling he won't find much but a few morsels is all he'll need to keep him going for the rest of the day.

Lavender awakens feeling refreshed from her little afternoon katnap. She spralls out on her side stretching out her stiff muscles in her limbs. She decides to cuddle with the pups a little longer before heading back above ground.

Linda finds a beetle, and this time, eats it before anyone can steal it. She stands to look around every so often and make sure things stay safe.

Lancaster pulls up some beetle grub and devours them quickly.

Lavender gets up but before heading for the burrow entrance, she gives each pup a gently nurturing nuzzle then makes her way above ground.

Linda digs some more, finding a few grubs. She eats them fast, as she doesn't want anyone to snatch them from her.

Snowflake falls to sleep.

Jackie looks around, warily, also smelling the air.

Lancaster spots an ants nest under a bush and goes to check it out. Immediately after approaching the ants nest, the ants storm out to defend their home but their futile attempt to try to fight off Lancaster ends up with them becoming his snack.

Lavender surfaces from the burrow and feeling hungry, joins Linda and Lancaster with foraging close to the burrow.
