Roleplay - 29th of October

Black Widow notices the dazed Wilson next to her and growls warning him to watch where he's going but realizes why he must've been in a frantic hurry as Duke suddenly lands on him. He must've been trying to get away from the Jumaa's dominant male. Seeing that Wilson could use some help, Black Widow slams into Duke, knocking him off Wilson.

Teetsie made lead calls. Bleeding from many wounds, she could tell her group was loosing, and they didn't need any fatalities.

Wilson breaks free from Duke and flees, gratefully following the retreat orders.

Duke chases after in a wardance.

Black Widow dashes after Teetsie, relieved to hear a retreat call sounded. She's still weak from the last battles the Midnights had with the Zippers and Willows and was starting to doubt that she would last long in this battle.

Aliya snarls at Teetsie and allows her to retreat.

Emzio watches from the side, huddling up to Suri for protection.

Suri huddles up to Emzio, hoping to calm her down.

Eztli tries to retreat, but Littleboy doesn't allow him to and keeps slashing at him. In retaliation, Eztli turns around and plunges his teeth into Littleboy's throat. In a daze, Littleboy lets go of Eztli, letting him run after Teetsie.

Back at the babysitting burrow, Ninja wakes up from his nap and decides to end his warm cuddles with the pups to resume to gaurd duty above ground. He exits the burrow and finds that he's been left to look after the pups alone. Angry with Mischka for ditching his babysitting responsibilities, Ninja lets a dismayed growl exit his throat. He remembers the young male had a strong urge to want to rove and it angers him that Mischka put his needs before the protection of the pups. He digs his claws into the ground, disappointed with Mischka. This was one time where he had the chance to prove himself reliable to the Jumaa mob and he blew it. If he's caught returning home, he'll have alot of explaining to do to the dominants.

Conker squeals in protest. He was nice warm when Ninja was laying next to him and now that his gaurding has left the burrow he's cold. He presses against his siblings to try to get warm again.

Wilson runs, moral-broken after another defeat.

Duke returns from his chase, prideful over their victory. He looks around, making sure everyone is accounted for and okay, especially the pups. He then grooms Aliya.

Black Widow limps at the back of the retreating Midnights. Her spirit is broken after having lost another battle to the new rival group.

Aliya grooms Duke back, relieved with their victory.

Eztli runs after the group in fear.

Suri looks around, and suddenly is filled with panic. Her brother Littleboy isn't here.

Emzio also looks around.

A short distance from the group, Littleboy lies in the sand, barely alive. The wound in his throat that was left by Eztli has taken it's toll on him. He is too weak to move.

Unaware of the Jumaa's victory over the Midnights, Mischka and the evicted female have been enjoying each other's company. They groom each other affectionately as they also enjoy the beautiful Kalahari landscape around them.

Suri looks at Aliya and peeps. My brother's missing. She then looks around for him, fearing the worse.

Aliya looks at Suri concerned, and her smile fades. Victory would have to wait until Littleboy was found. She looks around with him.

Emzio also looks around.

Littleboy's breating is begining to lesson by the minute as his life begins to fade.

Duke looks around with concern. He barks contact calls and stands up. It won't be a victory with one member down.

Mischka is unaware of Little Boy's plight and is enjoying his "date" with the sweethearted female. He sits beside her and occassionaly goes between giving her affectionate grooming to doing pest removing grooming on her cheek and neck. The nice weather makes their time together more ramantic. Mischka sighs with satifaction. Being around the female makes him feel extremely happy even more so as he has offered her some relieve from a collection of disease spreading ticks that were clung onto her body. He feels great that he's helping someone in need.

The evicted female grooms Mischka on the top of his head, thanking him for his caring support, she greatly appreciated it. His appearance earlier may have made him seem awkard but as she's getting to know him, she's finding out that he has a charming and compassionate personality.

Cactus squeaked in confusion as the warmth that was against him left. However, the warmth filled back into his body as his sibling cuddled up to him. Cactus sighed and relaxed.

Conker tries to stay warm by laying against one of his siblings. He soon feels the comfort of warmth against him and goes back to sleep.

Though his belly was growling again, Cactus slipped back into his dreams.

Above ground, Ninja sits in front of the burrow entrance, grumbling to himself. He's very disappointed and angry with Mischka for throwing aside one of the most important duties in meerkat society to satisfy his urge to want to chase after females. Ninja smacks at the sand, angry. There isn't anything he can do about it so he decides to let it go so he can concintrate on what HE thinks should be a first priority, babysitting.

Aliya looks around, also making contact calls.

Suri starts walking a short distance from the group where her eyes set on a figure. Littleboy. She runs over, tears in her eyes and nuzzles him. Littleboy opens his eyes, but has no energy, so just lies there, staring at her. Suri tries to coax him, but it's hopeless. He manages a smile trying to reassure her, before dying in her paws. Suri buries her head in his fur and sobs, realising there's nothing she can do.

Unaware of Suri's finding, Emzio and Aliya are still looking for Littleboy.

Duke barks again, louder, and starts searching around him. He's unaware of Littleboy's death.

Suri returns to the group, her face stained with tears.

Aliya looks at Suri and can tell Littleboy's fate by judging her face. Her heart sinks. They were one member down now. She runs over to Suri and grooms her, trying to reassure her.

Emzio, only being a pup is confused.

Ninja's angery facial expression soon turns to a sly smiling one. Seeing Mischka trying to suck up to the dominants to convince them not to punish him is going to be interesting if he's caught returning from shirking off his duty.

Duke looks down. It wasn't a victory after all. Was protecting their land and the vital food it holds worth a member?

Unaware of the tragedy that has unfolded on the Jumaa mob, Ninja is paying extra attention as he scans the landscape for danger. Thanks to Mischka ditching his fair share of babysitting duty, he's been left to watch over the pups alone and is forced to take on the full responsibilies of a caregiver, something which could prove to be a bit too much for him as he's always been used to having someone with him when he babysits. But unlike Mischka, he loves to babysit and will willingly stick to the responsibility no matter how challenging to could get at times.

Kamaria is shocked about Little Boy's death.

Dahoma freezes. Little Boy was dead?

The evicted female rests her head on Mischka's shoulder and looks up smiling at him lovingly. She could spend all day snuggling up to her knight in shining fur.

Mischka looks down at her and smiles back lovingly. He glances back in the direction of the Jumaa burrow. He hasn't forgotten that he's shirking an important responsibility and could get punished if he's caught being irresponsible by the dominants. But at the moment he doesn't care. He rests his chin on the female's head and nuzzles her. Being around her makes him feel relaxed and extremely happy and he isn't ready to leave her yet.
