Roleplay- 3rd of December

Saffron trys to push Linda in the bolt hole

Ninja tries to stop Saffron from continuing to move by placing his paw gently down on her hind quaters but what ever he tries to do to stop her from walking, all are met with a stubborn defiance. He churrs in frustration. Saffron is just going to end up quickening her death if she was envenomated. Suddenly his calm mood is also shattered when he sees Linda tense up. His heart starts racing. Is it happening now? He's shocked to see that Linda has begun going into labor. It can't happen now it just can't. He feared this would happen but didn't expect it to.

Conker looks up at Linda confused and concerned.

saffron lays down she got tried again

Linda's breathing picks up and she looks at her belly. It feels like the false alarm two days ago, only much stronger and obvious. She knows she's going into labor. She looks around, panic-striken. Of all times, why now?!

Ninja grits his teeth hoping it's just another false alarm. But from the expression seen on Linda's face, this appears to be much more urgent. He also becomes panic stricken. The burrow is a long walk back and Linda wouldn't be able to make it back to give birth to her pups there. The only refuge they have is the bolt hole but it comes with risks if she were to give birth in there. The pups would be too small and fragile to move and if a predator smells the pups after their born, things could turn tragic. He looks around frantic not knowing what to do. This is the worst time for Linda to give birth but there's nothing that can be done. The pups are coming now!

Conker wails distress calls. Linda's expression of pain is freaking him out.

saffron falls a sleep

Linda tenses up again. It's become a constant pain now, increasing in waves. She barks to Ninja in an urgent tone. They need to get to the burrow now! She won't allow their pups to be born anywhere else.

Duke assesses the situation, and looks at Aliya. They need to get back for Linda's stake, but that may endanger Saffron's life.

Saffron cryed louder then she ever did and then fell silent

ooc- Did she die?

Ninja understands the situation is quickly becoming urgent and nods. He's excited that the time has come but is nervous at the same time. He understands they need to get to the burrow and fast! he paces back and forth, itching to get hom. If the pups arrive now, things could turn disasterous. Ninja hasn't noticed that Saffron fainted.

Conker sits next to Linda and taps her with his paw whilst looking at her fearfully. He doesn't understand what's happening to her.

Linda looks down at Conker and peeps to him, explaining that the pups are coming. She looks at the other members. Regardless if the others follow, she has to go ASAP.

Duke chirps to Aliya, thinking they should go home, but also concerned for Saffron.

Occ-Nope it just hurts to much shes a good actoress too

Saffron crys again

Conker cocks his head. He didn't understand what Linda meant. He looks at her swollen belly curiously. He doesn't know that, he and other pups already born and soon to be born, develop in the stomach of a female meerkat.

Ninja looks at Duke and Aliya with a look of urgency on his face. He shuffles his feet. If the group don't head back soon, he'll have to take the risk of helping Linda back to the burrow alone.

Saffron peeped a sorry

Linda closes her eyes and slowly rocks back and forth as she sits, trying to distract herself from the increasing pain.

Conker notices Saffron is still in distress and pads over to comfort her.

Ninja wraps his arms around Linda in a comforting way. He's itching to want to get her back to the burrow before she reaches the stage where she'll start to push. He grooms trying to keep her calm.

Linda peeps a quiet thanks to Ninja and keeps rocking back and forth slowly. She's breathing heavily, and all of her instincts are screaming at her to find the nearest shelter to deliver her pups in, but she knows they will face certain death if they're born anywhere other than the burrow. She estimates that they might just make it if they leave in the next few minutes.

Saffron peeps for Linda to follow she gets up and walks the diretion of the burrow

Ninja looks at the group members. They don't seem to be in a hurry to get back so by the looks of things, they may need to risk taking the long walk back to the burrow alone. He nudges her encouraging her to get up. He doesn't want to waste more time just sitting here and waiting. The pups could come at any moment and giving birth away from the burrow could come with dire consequences. He looks up and notices Saffron heading back towards the burrow. It frustrates him that she's still moving around. He barks suggesting that she shouldn't risk the long walk. She had just been nicked by a puff adder and should be taking precautions just incase.

Conker whimpers not knowing what to do. He wails distress calls at Aliya and Duke.

Saffron peeps again to Linda ignoring Ninja

Aliya nods to Duke. She sighs at Linda. If she needed to stop, she had to let her know. She picks up Saffron by the scruff of the neck and makes lead calls, heading towards the burrow.

Emzio and Suri follow, on the verge of panic.

Saffron lets out a low growl

Conker follows whimpering in a panic striken way.

Ninja is relieved when Aliya retrieves Saffron. He hopes she won't continue to put up a stubbron streak which could be putting her life in danger. He's also relieved to hear her sound the lead calls to head back to the burrow. He looks over at Linda then sighs, trying to stay calm. He offers his shoulder to her as a support.

Linda gets up but winces as she does so. She starts heading back for the burrow, quicker than she was when they left, but not too quick. She feels a sense of embarrassment. Aliya having to return to the burrow so a pregnant subordinate that shouldn't even be pregnant in the first place can have her pups doesn't sit well in her mind. She leans on Ninja for support. This last time he will have to help her move around.

Duke follows next to Aliya, not minding the early return. It might be best for Saffron too.

Aliya ignores Saffron's growl. This was for her own good. Once she reaches the burrow, she places her in the burrow and looks over to Linda.

Suri and Emzio are relieved when they reach the burrow.
