Roleplay- 3rd of December (Comets)

Jupiter managed to shield her eyes from the dust, coughing a bit. After the dust cleared, she remembered why they were attacking Ghost. Panicked, she rushed over to Topaz.

Topaz lay still, blood oozing from the injury on her back. She was luckily breathing, but it was very faint. She whined as she lay where she fell, the pain shooting throughout her small body.

Karma continues having violent cough fits whilst desperately trying to clear the sand from her eyes. She panics as she hears Topaz's whines of pain. She faces in the direction she hears them but since she can't see at the moment, she doesn't know how serious her injuries could be nor does she want to know. Though she's desperate to come to her aide.

Jupiter began to instinctively clean out the wound Topaz had, worried sick. If only she had paid more attention to the surroundings... Maybe Topaz wouldn't be in this situation.

Topaz winced as Jupiter tended to her injury, whining some more. It was very painful, as Ghost had bit her very hard, due to the fact he had intended to kill her.

Enkozi looks around inside the burrow.

Amani stays by Nashita and Boomslang in the burrow. She realises Dragster isn't there and whimpers.

Jia stays by the other pups. She has no idea that Dragster was killed.

Karma manages to open her eyes halfway. She can see but not clearly. Her surroundings are blurred but she can see where Jupiter and Topaz are but their detailed forms are a blur. She limps towards them, ignoring the pain searing through her shoulder.

At the burrow, Boomslang trots over to Dragster's dead body and sniffs it. He sits down and stares at Dragster somberly.

Nashita stays sitting at the burrow entrance. She stares at Dragster's dead body, instinctively knowing there's nothing anyone can do for him. She sighs depressingly.

Unaware of the tragedy that has happened above ground, Sanders sat near the cluster of younger pups watching them protectively.

Confused, Jet mewed and struggled to escape from the pup bundle.

Boomslang taps Dragster's body with his nose then whimpers. He's gone but his death wasn't in vain. Because of his brave act, Boomslang and the other pups and babysitters are safe and unharmed.

Nashita's eyes glimmer with both sadness and amazement at Draster's body. She mentally sends him a thanks for saving her, the pups and babysitters' lives.

Jupiter finished slowly, frowning. She didn't except a rover, of all things, to attack a pup out of no where. She made a mental note to remember Ghost, in case if he came back again. That trick he used was something she had never seen anyone else use before. A simple trick, yet, also deadly. She looks back at Topaz sadly, only imaging what pain she was going through, and how frightened the poor thing was.

Topaz continued to whine a bit, curling herself up into a tight ball. The pain was something she never experienced before, and she didn't like it one bit.

Karma plops down beside Jupiter. Her eyes still half open, she looks down at poor Topaz. She blinks several times trying to focus her eye sight back to being clear. She bites her lower limp, cringing at her whines of pain. She didn't expect a rover to do such a horrible thing to an innocent, adorable little pup. Out of all of the animals likely to attack a pup a meerkat had to be the one to badly injure her. She grips the sand in anger with her front claws. She had only gotten a glimpse of Ghost and not a good look where she'd remember what he'd look like. She's seen rovers with surprising tactics before but Ghost's style of escape was perhaps the most clever of all she's seen. She sighs sympatheticall. If they had seen Ghost earlier, this wouldn't have occured.

Jupiter didn't except this either. Rovers were usually the less likely to attack a pup, let alone, attempt to kill one. She nuzzles Topaz comfortingly, the only thing she could do to try and comfort her. She also felt anger toward Ghost. What did Topaz ever do to cause him to attack her? If that rover ever decided to show back up, she would make sure he'd pay for what he did.

Topaz's wound didn't look too serious, but at the same time, still looked very painful. She looks up at the two females slowly, her eyes showing how scared and hurt she was from the event. A... am I going to die..?

What Topaz said tugged at Karma's heart strings. She whines feeling terrible for the little pup. She leaned over and nuzzled her assuring that she'll be fine. Her wounds don't look as serious as first thought but to really ensure her chance for survival, her wounds will need to be kept clean and free of dirt. Karma can finally open her eyes fully and blinks relieved to be able to see clearly again. She can get a better look at how much damage that heartless Ghost did. She cringes at the sight of Topaz's wounds.

ooc- Someone needs to cover Panacke's dominants. She isn't posting, and the inactivity is dragging some mobs down.

ooc: I geuss I can take over Running Star again until she returns. I think the Zippers have been led out foraging but I can't remember.

Jupiter also felt horrible. What Ghost did was unforgivable. He would pay for his heartless deed if he ever dared to show back up. But for now, keeping an eye on Topaz was more important. In her injured state, predators would more or likely be attracted. They had to be on high alert.

Topaz's other wounds were minor, just some scratches from Ghost's claws when he leaped on her. It was the the bite mark on her back that would need to be watched over. However, the young pup felt safe and comforted by Jupiter and Karma.

Karma bends down and delecately grooms Topaz's wounds. She makes sure to thoroughly remove every speck of dirt debris. If any is left behind, it could put Topaz at risk of developing an infection. She breifly looks up and glares into the horizon with hatred. The next they meet Ghost, he will pay for his heartless deed. Karma leans over Topaz, providing her with protection from being seen by predators. The smell of her blood can most likely be scensed for quite a distance away and the risk of predation now faces the injured Topaz.

Amani looks at Dragster's body. She whimpers, but knows his death saved the lives of most of the pups.

Jia emerges and sees Dragster's body. She shrieks and starts sobbing. She didn't understand that this is how nature took it's coarse.

Enkozi isn't allowed to emerge, so has no idea what all the fuss is about.

Jupiter stood on her hind legs, taking up sentry duty in case if a predator shows up. More or likely, some would get attracted at the smell of Topaz's blood. She then also gets worried about everyone else. What if they got spotted? She gulped, hoping everyone else was okay.

Topaz inches herself over to Karma for protection and comfort, trembling a bit.

Karma wraps her body protectively around Topaz. She looks around warily. A predator could appear at any moment and they must be prepared to act if danger surfaces. She bends her head and delecately grooms Topaz trying to calm her and nurse her injuries at the same time.

Boomslang grunts and bows his head, mourning Dragster's loss.

Nashita looks at Dragster sadly, her eyes begining to well up with tears.

Jupiter keeps a sharp eye out. Thanks to what happened, she was very wary. Topaz was hurt, Elena and Bandit were still missing, and most of the group was off looking for the two. For now, keeping Topaz safe from predators was the most important right now. If the rest of the group could find Elena and Bandit, it would make things better.

Topaz feels slightly comforted and protected by Karma and slowly calms herself, allowing Karma to tend to her injuries. The only one that bugged her the most was her injured back.

Karma begins delecately nursing the wound on Topaz's back. Out of most of her injuries, the wound on her back is what needs to be tended to the most. She looks up occassionally to check for predators.

Jia sobs. It wasn't fair. Why did he have to die?

Amani is also sad, but does not cry. She knows he wouldn't have died for them to be all mushy and depressed. He died to save them from the talons of that eagle.

Jupiter continues to keep watch, unaware of the tragic event that took place back at the bolt hole.

Topaz relaxes a bit as Karma tended to her back wound, cuddling against the adult female for comfort and protection. Her wound didn't hurt as badly now thanks to the grooming she was getting, but still caused a bit of stinging.

Nashita starts to cry and wonders the same thing Jia is. Why Dragster why? She was just starting to like him and the Kalahari had to take him away too soon. She understands that his death wasn't in vain but wishes he could've stayed on this earth much longer.

Boomslang stays tough and holds back his tears. Instead of crying about Dragster's death, he honors him for his bravery.

Karma remains calm as she continues to groom Topaz's back wound. She can sense that Topaz has relaxed and doesn't want to stir up her anxiety again by panicing about the possiblilty of a predator appearing at any moment. She glances up occassionally to check for danger.

ooc - sorry I haven't been on a lot lately. You can blame college.

bic - Alethia decides to stand sentry by Karma and Topaz, to offer some protection.

Nervous that Ghost could put in another appearance, Puzzle begins to scent-mark the area, reinforcing the fact that they didn't want him around.

ooc: It's ok I understand. I have a sister in who's in college. She's in her first year and she's finding out that it can be hecktic.

assured that Topaz's safty is ensured, Karma feels comfortable enough to focus on cleaning the little pup's wounds. She gently removes some sand that had collected in her back wound.
