Roleplay - 23rd of July 2009

Stratus saw a movement in the bush. It was Faeya! She chirped to Morning Glory, and dashed after her.
Tisca followed, chirping to Faeya. When she found Leaf and the pups, she picked up Clover and headed towards the bolt-hole.

By dispersed, I meant scattered, sorry!

Nimbus was looking out of his bolt hole. He saw the aerial predator ahead, but it was further off. He called out to his family, hoping someone would answer. He left the bolt hole and headed back toward the direction in which he last saw his family.

ooc: Oh, okay. ^^

bic: Faeya turned and saw the others and sighed with relief. She then chirped, where was Nimbus?

Scar looked around.

Stratus took up sentry duty again, keeping an eye on the eagle. It did a lazy circle, before flying off. He chirped to the others. It was safe.
Tisca sighed with relief.
Stratus stayed on guard, keeping an eye out. He had noticed that his brother had gone, and was searching desperately for him.

Nimbus continued to cry out, and soon, he spotted movement in the distance. As he approached, he saw his family foraging ahead. But to their left, he saw another danger... a stalking jackal. He let out the alarm call, but instead of running away, he ran toward the predator. He distracted it and made it chase him to a nearby bolthole. The jackal attempted to dig him up, but Nimbus went even deeper below. At least his family was aware and safe.

Faeya turned in time to see Nimbus and the jackal and let out an alarmed cry, running forward.

Stratus followed Faeya, growling. He saw the Jackal, and began spitting at it.
Tisca followed, a little nervous. She joined Stratus in mobbing the Jackal.

Faeya snarled and slashed at the jackal.

Nimbus emerged and saw the jackal attacking his family. He ran and began mobbing the jackal from behind, confusing the predator.

Stratus lunged for the Jackal's leg, sinking his teeth into it.

Showing her support for Stratus, Morning Glory darted out from the bushes and joined in with the threatening mobbing display. Puffing up her body and yipping as loud as she could, she hoped the jackal would get the message to make a hasty retreat.

Leaf on the other hand turned her back on the action and tenderly groomed the two pups who were, for the time being out of harm’s way.

The jackal, seeing that his chance has passed, quickly retreated. Nimbus happily reunited with his family and groomed each in turn.

Stratus chirped triumphantly, and walked over to Morning Glory and began to groom her.
Tisca sighed with relief, and smiled at Nimbus.
Cloud Catcher broke free from Leaf and ran over to the group, chirping loudly.

Nimbus was glad to be back with his family. Today had been a very traumatic day. But he was tired now, and he felt it was time to return home.

Stratus agreed. He chirped to Morning Glory, and started to head for home. Tisca picked up Clover, and followed. Cloud Catcher ran along behind, chirping indignantly.

Morning Glory shuffled close beside Stratus, rubbed her head against his shoulder and chirped in agreement that heading back to the burrow early was the best idea all round. Enthusiastically jumping forward she led the way through the scrub of drie doring bushes.

Leaf followed proudly behind Tisca and the pups as she watched Cloud Catcher’s back in case he strayed off course.

Nimbus stpped periodically, checking for danger. He was determined to make sure no more disturbances attacked his family today.

Stratus followed behind Morning Glory.
Tisca smiled at Leaf. Clover squirmed a little, but Tisca held her firmly.

Finally, Nimbus spotted a nice burow in the distance. he ran to it, and began to clear the entrance.

Stratus followed his brother.
Tisca placed Clover down, and joined Nimbus in cleaningvthe burrow. Clover looked out at the horizon, and Cloud Catcher ran around, smiling happily.
