Roleplay- 16th of December

Once the hole was deep enough, Petal places the pup inside. Unable to hold them in anymore, she let the tears escape as she began to bury the dead pup, whining deeply as she did her task. It felt horrible doing this. But it had to be done. That way, the pup's spirit could go to the Heavens.

Mischka turns around and watches Petal bury the dead pup with his head drooped and his eyes glazed over with misery. He too is reluctant to face the fact that this is the last time he'll be laying his eyes on the innocent little body. But if they want the pup's spirit to make it up to heaven, its body will have to be layed to rest in order for that transition to happen.

Shallow decides to go back to the burrow, he scurries over to the burrow and sees the dead pup being buried he freezes in shock.

Kumi nurses her other two pups. Tears start to slip down from her eyes. One pup didn't live to be half a day old, and another has already been crippled for life. She was a first time mother and her first litter is looking like a disaster, and they haven't even seen their first nightfall.

ooc: Actually, they're four days old. or two. Can't remember which.

ooc: Kumi's litter is 4 days old.

Seeing Shallow looking at the dead pup in horror, Mischka goes over to comfort him and covers his eyes with his left paw before he's able to get a thorough look at the gruesome sight. It's just too much for a pup his age to see but he may already be traumatized by the terrible experience of hearing a pup being murdered.

Petal soon finishes burying the pup and begins to rub her chin against the ground, attempting to clean off the blood that stained her mouth from carrying the dead pup. At least now the pup can go to Heaven safely.

Akita, knocked out cold at the bottomn of a chamber, is still breathing. Her leg twitches every so often.

Shallow runs down into the burrow and sees akita thinking shes dead he runs into another chamber.

Mischka gazes down upon the grave glumly. The pup is in a better place now where no one will be able to cause it further harm. He shuts his tightly no longer able to hold back his tears. He relents and allows them flow down his cheeks.

Petal finishes cleaning the blood off her mouth, but the taste remained. She whines softly, before backing away from the grave. Seeing Mischka nearby, the teen went over to him and cuddles against him, seeking some comfort from him, and also, to give him some comfort. Tears continued to flow freely from her, she did nothing to stop them.

Linda looks away, reminded too much about her own attempted murder on Maylene's pups, and the loss of two of her pups more recently. She instead heads over to the grave of her two pups and looks down at it, the flower that's burried up to the stem miraculously still there.

Kamaria instantly feels the pressure of what she's done on her shoulders. she never wanted to do it, but her instincts were just screaming at her. Chances were Kumi's injured pup wouldn't make it through the night. She choked and curled up in the burrow, sobbing with regret. Why?

Mischka cuddles with Petal grateful for her comfort. It helps to ease his depression slightly but does nothing to stop his tears from streaming down his face. He rests his chin on her shoulder, providing her with comfort, and allows himself to sob in mourning. He feels a bit embarassed about crying in front of everyone but in this circumstance it's inevidable and it's ok. Everyone is devastated.

bic: Kumi cuddled close to her pups. It was a good thing that her pup still had so much life left in it, she believed it would pull through. Unfortunately, if they did survive, they'd always stand out with a clumsy walk due to spine damage. If the pup didn't survive... she hoped it didn't have come to that.

Petal buries her head into Mischka's shoulder, sobbing quietly. Everyone was mourning the little pup, it wasn't a bad thing to cry, especially in a time like this. It was always okay. Nothing to be ashamed of, or to be embarrassed about.

Mischka continues to let all his distraught emotions pour out of him. This is the hardest he's ever cried for a deceased member. It's much more devastating because a life that hadn't even been given a chance to blossom yet was tragically cut extremely short. No pup deserves to die, espcially in the jaws of their own aunt. Even though Kamaria was doing what was right for her litter, Mischka feels the act was cruel and unjust.

Shallow runs next to Mischka and looks up at him, knowing hes sad he tries to comfort him, Shallow hopes he doesn't die like the other pup in the mob.

Linda looks away from her pups' grave and heads into the burrow to comfort her living pups. She heads back to the chamber they're in and tries to calm them down. She's also lost all trust in Kamaria as well, and although her pups may be too old to be targets, she doesn't want to take chances.

Tyson runs over and buries his face in his mother's fur.

Mischka grins with adoration as Shallow snuggled up against him. Awwww what a sweet little guy. Mischka bends forward and nuzzles Shallow, thanking him for his adorable comfort. Pups just know how to brigthen up the mood and he can already feel his uplifting around the heartmelting bundle of joy.

Ninji crawls over to her mother and presses against her stomach for comfort.

Seeing Shallow cuddle up against Mischka also helps Petal's sorrow slowly fade. Yes, pups always managed to brighten one's mood somehow. Sniffling, her sobbing ceases. She straightens herself up a bit, starting to feel better.

Shallow runs back down into the burrow and runs into the chamber with linda in it and sits next to her.

Mischka watches Shallow decend into the burrow feeling more exuberant. He knows they mustn't incessantly mourn for the 2 dead pups. The Kalahari is a harsh place capable of claiming a meerkat's life any day so they must live life to the fullest. The 2 pups are where they belong now, rested at peace and thriving in the Heavens. They should be happy that they're now in a safer place where they can never be harmed.
