Roleplay- 16th of December

Linda lets Shallow stay with her as she guards her pups from Kamaria incase she gets any ideas.

*Velmarie had come home again. She hadn't seen them all in awhile, especially John. Where was he now? How was he doing? She looked around to find him.*

A warm feeling of joy washes over Mischka as he sees Velmarie return to the mob. He strolls over and greets her with some grooming, also doing her a favor by removing the uncomfortable ticks and fleas that had latched on to her during her solo journies.

Ninji burries her face in her mother's fur. She's picked up on her anxiety and fears something bad is happening, so she remains close to the protection of Linda.

Linda churrs calmly to her pups, assuring them that they have nothing to fear. She would say they can't be harmed in the burrow, but if that was true she would have a litter of six with her right now.

Ninji glances up at her mother and relaxes, trusting her calm words. She remains pressed against her belly for comfort and warmth. As long as she's in the protective presence of her mother, she believes nothing bad can happen to her and her remaining siblings.

Petal sees Velmarie, someone in the mob she had not met yet. At first, she was tense. But when Mischka began greeting and grooming the female, Petal relaxed. If Mischka knew this female, the mute teenager knew Velmarie meant no harm and was a family member. Looking back at the grave she made for the deceased pup, she bows her head once more to pay respects for the little one who's life was cut short and then walks over to greet Velmarie.

Taking notice of Velmarie glancing around as if she's trying to find something, Mischka stops his grooming and makes eye contact with her, tipping his head side to side confused. What's she looking for? Suddenly he remembers. It's more like who is she looking for. It becomes obvious now that she's looking for her love interest John. Mischka frowns with worry and explains to her that John had gone to war with the Jumaa mob. He explains that the Midnights barged into the burrow and killed 2 of Linda's pups a week ago and the Jumaa embarked on a revenge mission today to the Midght's territory. He's uncertain if John is ok or not but is remaining positive about his fate. John's a strong male, he'll be fine, and he'll be back at the burrow safe and sound later this evening.

Linda continues to sooth her pups, unaware that her beloved mate's life is on the line.

Ninji continues snuggling with her mother. She's calm now and is murmurring in content. She's unaware that her father's life is hanging by a thread.

*Velmarie greets Mischika and Petal warmly. She felt relieved to have all her ticks removed. But her calm face clouded with worry as she was told where John was. She whinned, having not seen him in so long...and now knowing he was in danger. But he was fighting to protect them all, so it must be done. Velmarie would have to go help or wait patiently.*

Shallow senses there is a new meerkat near by he scurries out of the burrow to meet the new meerkat.

Mischka gently touches Velmarie's right cheek with his nose whilst churring softly as a way of reassuring her John will be fine. He's participated in a nasty scuffle before with Ghost and lived to see another day. If he can vanquish a male known to be notoriously lethal, then he can be an outstanding warrior in battle. Mischka is confidant John will return walking on all 4 legs wearing few scratches. When he sees Shallow scurry over, Mischka smiles with adoration and peeps softly introducing Velmarie to him.

*Velmarie nods, feeling a little better than before. She was becoming more convinced herself that John would be fine. She smiled at Shallow, churring a hello to this kat she hadn't seen before. During the time of John's absence, she would still be happy because of all the family's support and love.*

Petal smiles as Shallow is introduced to Velmarie. She hopes the rest of the mob will return soon. The longer they were away, the more she worried about them, especially her brother. But she knew she shouldn't be too worried. They had great numbers. They'd win against the Midnights for sure! That is, if only the babysitters knew about a third mob, the Willows, also being apart of the battle.

Mischka looks in the direction that leads to Midnight's territory with concern. It's been a few hours since the Jumaa set off on their revenge mission. He expected their excursion to last maybe 2 hours but it's going on 4 hours of them being gone. He hopes the mob is ok. He shouldn't worry too much about it though. The Jumaa are a large mob and they've proven they can work exceptionally well as a team. They'll vanquish the Midnights with no problem! He's unaware that the reason for the Jumaa's mission lasting longer than expected is because the Willows had intersected with the 2 warring mobs and are now scuffling with both mobs.

Shallow looks up at velmarie, he thinks this is a visiting meerkat.

Mischka looks from Shallow to Velmarie, then back at Shallow. He smiles with adoration, oblivious to Shallow thinking of Velmarie as a welcomed outsider.

Linda gently grooms the peachfuzz for fur on top of her pups' heads to further relax them. It's tragic they've experianced the death of others already, before leaving the burrow. She hopes they have no memory of what happened last week.

Ninji murmurs in pleasure as her mother groomed her, her unease all but gone. She vaguely remembers that ill-fated day the Midnights attacked the burrow and killed 2 of her siblings. Being blind and deaf at the time of the raid saved her from being scarred for life.

Petal looks off in the distance where the group went. How were they doing? Were they winning? She's unaware her brother was doing what he could to help Ninja and keep him alive. She just prays the group will come back soon, with minor injuries. Sadly, part of her wish will not come true. Not everyone will be leaving the battle unharmed.

Mischka glances off towards Midnight's territory and trains his eyes in that direction, twitching his front paws uneasily. When are the Jumaa coming home? Did they succeed in their mission? He's so anxious that he resorts to gnawing some of his flank fur off to manage some of his stress. He's unaware that many Jumaa members are walking badly wounded, one in particular, Ninja, may not even make it home alive.

Linda is unaware of the grim battle to stay alive her mate is bearing right now. If she does lose him, she won't be able to go on. If it wasn't for the pups she has to care for, she'd starve herself to death rather than bear a full life without Ninja by her side.

Tyson has calmed down by now also, and further relaxes by getting some milk from his mother.

Petal stood on her hind legs, as if attempting to spot the mob. It was in vain however, as the group were now regrouping and had won against the Midnights. She's unaware her brother and John were doing what they could to ensure the survival of Ninja, who had suffered the most during the fight. She gulps, getting a bad feeling.

Mischka continues plucking out his fur in his fit of anxiety. A stomach ache soon manifests due to his distress. He's also apprehensive about the Jumaa's return. He has a terribly bad feeling they'll be coming home with some kind of bad news, unknown to him, the bad news will be that Ninja is gravely injured and will most likely succumb to his life threatening wounds.

Linda gets up once more and heads above ground, sitting with the others when she does. She looks into the distance with concern for the rest of the mob that seems to be running late.
