Roleplay-10th of July 2009

As the sun began to rise, Keeko poked a sleepy head out of the burrow. He glanced around, but all seemed well. Groggily, he dragged himself up the slope and sat at the top, keeping a eye out for danger.

Next up was Buckeye. Since there meeting 4 days ago, the group has faithfully stuck together, a good sign for Buckeye. She walks over to Keeko and begins to groom him. The signs of her pregnancy are starting to show, her stomach beginning to bulge. As long as the group sticks closely together, their future will look bright. She began to forage close to the burrow, waiting for the others to emerge.

Verniece emerged from the burrow, Hutch at her heels. She spotted Buckeye, and her signs of pregnancy. She smiles warmly, knowing that is a good sign for their mob. She grooms Buckeye, as if to say "Good Morning".

Keeko chirps cheerfully at the others, and grooms Buckeye back. Eventually he stood up, ready to go foraging.

Buckeye graciously accepted the grooming, and started to happily scent mark all those above ground. In her own way, she was thanking the members for sticking with her for all this time. Splash was still below ground, but he was old enough to go foraging with the adults. Buckeye went below ground to fetch the youngster.

Buckeye searched the dark tunnels of the burrow, eager to find Splash. She had to hurry, though, so that she could lead the foraging group. If she couldn't find him soon or if he was too sleepy to go out, Buckeye might have to place someone in charge of babysitting.

Verniece lies down while Hutch runs around, jumping and squealing while pawing at the dirt and sending it flying.

Suddenly Keeko saw movement in the bush. He alerted the group. There was a group of about four females. He hadn't seen them before, but he could tell from their scent that they were the Devils, who lived next to their range. At the front was their dominant female Juamba. She was a nasty looking meerkat Keeko snarled at her, and she spat back.

Verniece looked up at the sound of Keeko's alarm and saw the meerkats. Immediately, she grabbed Hutch up in her mouth, who squealed in protest and brought in underground, taking him underground with Splash. She returned to the burrow entrance, guarding it in case the Devils tried to get underground.

Psycho let out a low growl, eyeing Keeko with a smirk.

While searching for Splash, Buckeye noticed Verniece brinigng Hutch below ground as well. What was going on? She followed Verniece above ground, and upon emerging, her a fury of barks and chirps. She looked into the distance and saw the Devils mob, preparing their assault. There were 3 of them, and what appeared to be 4 members of the Devils. With 2 pups underground and pups inside of her ready to be born, Buckeye would fight to the death to make sure her family remains. She began to move forward, keeping up the constant chirps and commanding her troops to get ready.

Verniece looked at Buckeye fearfully, keeping her guard at the burrow. She would defend the two pups below ground with her life.

Psycho smirked and snarled threateningly at Buckeye and Keeko, almost to eager to wait for Juamba's alarm.

Not able to take the tension any longer, Buckeye let out an alarm call. She then began to war dance toward the Devils, calling her group to follow. She then began the charge, hoping to scare the enemy away. She headed straight for Juamba, the Devil's dominant female.

Juamba watched with odd calmness. She wasn't really bothered what happened next, as long as it was best for her. Counting up the Willows numbers, she realised they had the bigger numbers, even if it was only by one. If she could win the battle, it would be better for her in the long run. She led the Devils into battle, starting her wardance. When she was clos enough, she lunged at Buckeye.

Buckeye and Juamba rolled around in the dirt. Buckeye was pinned down, and as Juamba bit into her, she squealed in pain. She eventually mustered the strength to throw her off. She then lunged on Juamba's back, sinking her claws into her skin. She called for assistance, as the rest of the Devils began to pile on.

Keeko lunged at Juamba, and sunk his teeth into the back of her neck. He dragged her off, and the two wrestled in the sand for some time. Juamba twisted and managed to lose Keeko's grip. She spun around on him and slashed at his face. Keeko staggerd back, blood driping down his face, but he lunged at Juamba again, this time biting into her shoulder.

Buckeye helped Keeko battle off Juamba. As she joined the frenzy, she called for assistance from Verniece. As long as the pups were underground and the adults held off the Devils, the family should be safe.

Juamba lunged again at Keeko, sinking her teeth into his cheek. He screeched, but was unable to shake her off. She growled at him, and pulled back. He lost her grip, but a massive wound was on his cheek.

Splash emerges, and stares at the scene in horror.

Bohrok charges with the Devils, and attacks Buckeye.

No problem, I don't expect you to be here all the time.

Juamba barks orders at her mob, hoping to overpower the Willows. She charges at the nearest meerkat, biting and snarling as she does so. Keeko leaps at Bohrok, and pulled her off his mate.

A strange meerkat runs out of the bushes. He quickly surveys the situation and realises that the devils are clearly the aggressors. He quickly runs to intercept a Devil who was charging for Buckeye.

Hi Drsatan, glad you joined! I'm Dipsy.

Keeko sees the strange meerkat jump from the bushes. At first he thinks it's a member of the Devils, but when he sees him attack one of the Devils females, he realises that this meerkat was on his side. He leapt at Juamba, who was making for the burrow. He managed to hold her off and she retreated, but returned again to launch another vicious attack.

Seeing Simmons join the fray, Buckeye summed up the strength to lead one last counterattack against the enemy. Calling her troops, she leads a massive assault against Juamba. Hopefully this show of force would force the Devils to retreat. She was bleeding badly from her encounter with Bohrok, but she managed to keep up the attack.

You went to California? Cool! How was it? Did you have lots of fun?

Juamba had had enough. The fight didn't seem to be getting them anywhere. And now that a new male had joined the Willows side, they had less of a chance of winning. Juamba called to her mob and led them back to her own territory. She snarled at Buckeye as she went, making it clear that this wasn't going to be the last time.

It was fantastic! We stayed in Anaheim and saw Hollywood, Newport and Huntington Beach, and Disneyland. I wanna go back haha!

Seeing the Devils running off, Buckeye victoriously led her charges back to the home burrow. She had to see for herself what the casualties of this battle were.

Glad you had fun! It sounds so exciting!

Keeko followed Buckeye, glad that the Devils had finally been chased off. He stopped cautiusly by the burrow mouth, slightly afraid of what he may find.
