Roleplay-10th of July 2009

Stripe cautiously left the burrow. She thouroughly scanned the area, but there was no danger in sight. But Stripe tended to be a little over the top, and as a harmless Drongo flew overhead, he dashed into the burrow.

Running Star waited a while before peeking out of the burrow. She scanned the sky and the general area before slowly climbing out. She warmed herself in the sun, and waited for the others.

Streak emerged from the burrow, looking around the area before sitting down to sun himself.

Streak smiles at Stripe and chrrs to her, it's safe.

Stripe smiled. She bounded up, and began to do some housework, just to get warmed up.

Running Star smiled and chirred at both of them, thanking them. She stretched and began to help with housework.

Stripe bounded around, happily helping clear away the sand. After a while she started to get hungry, and chirped to Running Star, hoping to get foraging.

Streak looks around, starting to get hungry as well.

Running Star felt a rumbling in her belly. After one last check of the area, she started off to find breakfast, chirping and looking behind to be sure that Streak and Stripe were near.

Streak followed Running Star, while also keeping watch on the skies.

Stripe bounced around, clearly in a happy mood. However, when a hornbill took flight, she froze, and then followed the two more somberly.

Running Star stopped at an area that looked like a promising place to forage. She looked behind her to make certain that Streak and Stripe were nearby. She began to dig a bit, came up empty, and tried again.

Stripe stayed close to Running Star and Streak, feeling a little uneasy. She dug deep into the ground and found a mouse. Unsure what to do with it, she battered it gently, and it got away. Frustrated, she dug holes for the sake of it, and managed to catch a small beetle.

Running Star dug hard, and came up with a millipede. She rubbed off the poison and ate it. She took a short rest, and dug a few times more. Finally, she found a tasty scorpion. She removed the stinger and made sure the poison was gone. After eating it, she checked for any threats both high and low.

Stripe was creating a mess, as she had dug up an ant's nest. As soldier ants sawrmed out of the nest, they climbed up her legs and clung to her fur, biting and stinging. Stripe decided she wasn't going to get a meal here, so she quickly moved on.

Running Star caught some movement in the sky, and looked closer. It was only a drongo, so she knew they were okay.

Spotting the Drongo, Stripe freaked out and dashed to the nearest burrow. After a few minutes, she poked her head out cautiously.

Running Star walked a bit closer to Stripe and gave gentle lead calls to her and to Streak.

Lewa snaps at the ants at the anthill crazily, even as the soldier ants started biting. After a while though, he got bored and moved on. (XD)

Running Star had watched Lewa playing. Though the Drongo was not a danger, he was the most vulnerable group member if there was a real threat. Attempting to keep him safe, she walked toward him while calling to Streak and Stripe.

Lewa looks at Running Star, confused.

Stripe watched Running Star and slowly followed. She watched Lewu play with the ants nest and decided to look after him. She walked to him and chirped, standing by him.

Running Star soothingly chrred to Lewa, to help relax him. It would soon be time to return to the burrow, so she just wanted to be sure they all made it safely.

Stripe kept a careful eye on the sky. She couldn't see anything that she thought would be dangerous.

Running Star didn't see any threats on the ground, either.. She lay down on the sand for a short time, reflecting on the past few days, and smiling contentedly. She stood and stretched a bit, much more relaxed.
