Roleplay - 10th of October

Linda calms down again and resumes grooming Ninja affectionately. His ability to sneak up on her while she was alert and searching for predators made it clear he had good genes. She wasn't ready just yet, though.

Ninja tenderly grooms along Linda's back. He's very patient and respectful with females and won't mate until they let him know they're ready. Just spending time with them is good enough for him if they choose not to mate. He'd rather get to know them than to rush into things. Ninja has added the Willows to his favorite groups to rove at and plans to return many times in the future. If Linda chooses not to mate, there will always be a next time.

Tank gets down on all 4s with his tail raised poised to dash to the nearest bolthole. He watches the hawk intently and keeps sounding warning barks.

Lancaster covers Josephine with his body. He'll take talons to the back for Josephine if the hawk dives towards them.

Linda churrs and lovingly grooms him. Not caring about or even paying attention to what might be happening above ground, she grooms his neck affectionately and lays her head down on his paws. A little bit of light was shining down the burrow.

Buckeye sees the hawk and calls for the Willows to retreat to a nearby bolt hole. Verniece, Hutch, and Glade quickly dash there. Buckeye stays out longer, making sure each family member makes it. She realizes Linda is missing, but can do nothing as the bird circles above.

Wilson calls for Lithium to come into the bolt hole. He didn't want to be blamed for his death back at the mob.

Leon ran up to Buckeye, he looked frantic, I can't find Megan anywhere!

Lancaster dashes to the bolthole but doesn't head below until he makes sure Josephine makes it down there first.

Tank quickly follows behind his brother but notices Leon acting frantic when he arrived at the bolthole. Hearing that his daughter is missing, Tank glances at Buckeye than at Leon and peeps (I'll help you look for Megan. I'm sure she's around here close by hopefully she didn't wonder off too far. We'll find her)

Ninja nuzzles Linda then rests his head on her neck and tenderly grooms her shoulder blade. He's oblivious to the crisis above ground involving the Willows pup he had encountered earlier.

Leon looked to Tank but was too worried to so much as smile in thanks. He turned and despite the danger, he ran to look for Megan.

Tank follows after Leon. He felt it was too dangerous for him to search for Megan alone. As he searches he'll act as his eyes, watching the hawks every movement. They're going to need teamwork if they are to find Megan.

Also oblivious to the conflict above ground, Linda cuddles with Ninja as he grooms her. She continues grooming his neck and rests with him. Soon she would like to mate, but not just yet.

Snowflake wakes from his daze and quickly dashes to the bolthole. He dives in, fearing for his life.

Jackie follows Snowflake and disappears below ground.

Ninja cuddles up to Linda churring contently. She's the sweetest female he's been with so far and wants to keep things at a slow pace. He's come to really like her and doesn't want to upset her in any way. He grooms her cheek as she grooms down his neck. This a female he'll definately visit again in the future.

Linda continues to churr as Ninja grooms her. She's never felt this affectionate towards anyone before. She peeps sweetly and grooms under his chin.

Wilson calmly waits out the hawk's presence, determined to move out before the mob when it's gone.

Lancaster sees his brother take off after Leon to look for Megan. He was tempted to follow after them to help but decided to stay at the burrow. He's extremely loyal to Josephine and wants to make sure she makes it to the bolthole saftly.

Tank slips into the tall grass to search for Megan. His gut is telling him that she's somewhere amongst the sea of grass.

Ninja sighs in content. He churrs happily as Linda grooms under his chin.

Linda nuzzles him as they cuddle, feeling happy around him. Still unaware of the situation above ground, she rests with him in the safety of the bolt hole. She feels she's ready. Linda grooms his forehead and gives a mating call.

Ninja churrs softly as Linda nuzzled him. He offers Linda more tender grooming down her back. He feels happy and warm inside and can feel the butterflies floating around in his stomach the more time he spends with this sweet female. If he had to, he'd protect her with his life from any predators or a rival group. Ninja nuzzles Linda's muzzle. He's ready if she's ready. After hearing her mating call they mate. Afterwards, Ninja grooms her tenderly on the side of her face.

Having mated, Linda grooms him affectionately. She's never had pups before, and was excited about the thought of being a new mother soon. She lays her head down on his paws and churrs softly.

Megan was hiding in another chamber of the bolthole, hiding from the hawk. She had nowhere to run. After hearing the alert call, she ran for the nearest bolthole, which wasn't the one the group took cover in, but Linda and Ninja. The hawk was still there, and she had no idea how to find her way back. She sniffed sadly, unaware that the other two were just a chamber away, she thought she was all alone and lost. She sniffed again and a tear rolled down her face. She wondered how far the group may have run, she didn't know if she was abandoned or not too far away from them, but for now, all she could hear was her own sniffing and the screech of the hawk above ground.

Unaware of Megan's presence in a different part of the bolthole, Linda keeps nuzzling Ninja, who, now that they've mated, could be the father of a possible litter of hers. She grooms him lovingly on the back. She didn't want him to leave.

Ninja rests his head on Linda's neck. He has fathered several litters but had never returned to the groups where he had roved at. After this roving trip he plans to make a visit to a wild group off the research area where he has fathered a litter at. he wants to know how the pups are doing and hopes they're still alive. If his mating was sucessful with Linda, he could be the proud father of another litter of clever and smart pups. When they're born he'll make repeated visits to the Willows to watch his pups grow up. Ninja too has no idea that Megan is present in the bolthole.

Unaware of the search for Megan and Linda and Ninja's romantic escape, Jackie sits in the bolthole, nervously waiting for the hawk to leave. She starts shaking and closes her eyes, something she does when she's nervous.

Snowflake stands by Jackie and nuzzles her, noticing how nervous she was.

Linda knew he would need to leave eventually, though. She chirps, asking if he would return. She lays her head down and churrs. She could already be carrying his pups.

Meanwhile, Wilson sees and hears no hawk, so he catiously makes his way towards the entrance. He peeks his head out and looks around everywhere, except behind him. It looks all clear. He turns his head and looks behind him. He sees a hawk diving towards him, fast. Without any time to retreat back into safety, he follows his instincts and jumps in the air, swiping at the hawk. His sharp claws tear into the bird's wind, leaving a deep wound and damaging the wind. The startled and injured hawk lets out a large screetch. The bird turns around and flys away where it came, barely able to stay airborn. He had scared it away. He chirps to lithium, telling him it's safe, and makes a run for cover before the Willows investigate.

With the hawk gone, Buckeye leads her Willows out of the burrow. She inspects the surroundings. She smells rovers, but they need to find Megan and Linda. She issues contact calls.

Lithium follows Wilson out, and watches the Willows from a large tree. Once they calm down, he'll make his move.

Wilson sneaks around. Since they were on alert, he should probably back up. He gets a little farther away from the mob and lays down under the cover of a bush, watching.

Unaware of the mob's search for her, Linda remains calm and relaxed with Ninja. She cuddles with him, feeling safe and relaxed.

Luna spotted Wilson. No, she could not become [regnant. When she noticed her dear friend Linda was gone, she barked loudly.
