Roleplay - 15th of July 2009

Stripe emerged first. She yawned and sat sleppily by the burrow mouth. Eventually she began to clean the burrow. It had been five days since her run in with Vardi, and she was trying her best to keep in the good books. Running Star emerged next. She wasn't happy with Stripe, but she let it go for now, and joined Stripe in cleaning the burrow.

Streak emerged, looking a bit downcast but failed to notice the two females around him.

Running Star chirped Streak. She didn't like it when he was feeling down. She tried to cheer him up. Stripe came running over, also upset that he was upset, but tripped over her feet and went tumbling in the sand.

Streak nudged Stripe, hoping she was okay and smiled softly at Running Star. He would just have to be more alert, that's all.

Stripe smiled. She bounded up, and chirped happily. Running Star couldn't help but smile. She chirped to the group, and led them off to forage.

Streak smiled at Stripe and followed.

Running Star stopped the group, checking the area. All seemed safe, so she led the group down into the clearing to forage. Stripe dug deep into the sand, and caught herself a millipede. She ate it quickly.

Running Star watched over her family. They may be small now, but with her and Stripe's pups they would grow. The Zippers need more members though. At the moment, they were only three adults, plus one pup. Raising their future pups may be a challenge. Running Star put her head down to forage, searching for something to eat.

Running Star began digging furiously. She found a small gecko, which she promptly ate. Due to her pregnancy, she had a huge appetite. She thought about the fact that she and Stripe were going to be mothers. With such a small group, having two litters could be tough, but she knew it was their only chance of long-term survival. She looked around, and then made a discovery: a Plover's egg. She dashed over, and then proceeded to eat it. She then rejoined the group and lay down in the sun.

Seeing the Running Star eat the Plovers egg, Stripe ran over to investigate. There where no eggs left though, just one, angry parent plover, who thought Stripe had taken her egg. The plover swooped at Stripe, and she bolted, not wanting to face the bird.

ooc: did I tell you the pups due date?

Lewa emerged a little late, just to find himself alone. He looked around with his bright green eyes.

Stripe was unaware that Lewu was by himslef. She continued to forage, dissing up a tasty millipede.

Lewa looks around warily, peeping a call to anyone who might be near.

ooc: Ha I wrote dissing instead of digging! (I have been looking for an excuse to use that!)

bic: Stripe bit into her millipede, still unaware that Lewu was by himself. As she chewed, the thought of her's and Running Star's pups crossed her mind. She was unsure to what would happen, but she decied she would go to any length to protect her pups.
