Roleplay - 29th of October

Lancaster grooms the pups making sure they stay clean.

Lavender sits back up on her haunches. She remembers from her little learning lesson with Lancaster earlier that she must always stay on gaurd while babysitting. An oppertunistic predator could take advantage of an unwary meerkat and could slip past to get to the pups.

Linda looks around for danger. A rookie learner should always have someone more adept at the job to help. She has a feeling Lavender will become a great addition to the mob once she reaches adulthood. She can even help take care of the large amounts of pups expected to be born soon.

Lavender looks at Linda. She feels comfortable having a more experianced babysitter around to offer her some tricks of the trade. She's enjoying her first time as a reliable gaurdian and is definately looking forward to taking on the responsibility again in the near future.

Lancaster curls his body around the pups keeping them warm. There's a bit of a cool draft in the burrow and he doesn't want the pups to be cold.

Linda gets back to sentry duty. She's getting ahead of herself. She looks into the burrow, wondering if she should switch jobs with Lancaster or not. After all, she is the only here that can feed them.

Lavender observes her surroundings keeping her fixed stare focused as she scans the landscape for danger. Another skill she'd like to perfect and is interested in performing is sentry duty.

Lancaster nuzzles the pups as they start to wail for food. Unfortunately he can't provide them with milk so instead does his best to comfort them.

Linda decides to help inside the burrow. She heads in and makes her way to the chamber the pups are at, and peeps to Lancaster. She can take it from here.

Lancaster sees Linda enter the chamber and nods. He gets up and returns above ground to help Lavender keep a look out for danger.

Lavender glances at Lancaster as he reappears above ground then returns her gaze on the horizon. She seems to be taking her sentry duty seriously.

Luna finds a skink and eats happily.

Linda wraps around the pups and lets them feed. She loves pups, and all of this is good preparation for when her own arrive.

Luna sits in the sand for a little bit, becoming tired. Her pregnancy was draining.

Lancaster glances at Lavender and smiles, proud to see her taking her responsibilities seriously. She's going to prove to be a reliable member of the group once she's an adult.

Lavender stands up on her haunches and looks to the right as she stays stern on gaurd duty. Her interest in wanting to help the group is strong.

Luna closes her eyes for a few minutes.

Linda rests her head down. She nolonger feels as energenic as she used to. Her pregnancy is already starting to weigh her down.

Luna was bored. She tried to nap in the shade, but there was a gnawing hunger in her stomach.

Linda yawns and starts to get sleepy. She hopes Luna and Maylene are fairing well with Buckeye.

Lavender starts to find herself getting distracted as a juvenile yellow mongoose appears on burrow grounds. She trains herself to stay focused and ignores the mongoose's presence.

Lancaster growls softly as he sees Lavender getting distracted. He barks reminding her that even a meer few seconds of taking your eyes off the horizon and sky could be fatal.

Linda dozes off. She starts to dream about Ninja once more. She can't get him out of her mind.

Lavender continues to keep her focus. She smiles proudly as she thinks she's starting to get the hang of this gaurd duty.

Lancaster joins Lavender in keeping watch. He keeps his back to hers so they can coordinate with coving all angles as they scan the landscape for danger.

Snowflake wakes up and lies on his stomach, watching some drongos flying around.

Linda churrs in her sleep. She remains curled around the pups as she sleeps. She just hasn't been able to stop thinking about Ninja lately.

Lavender closely observes her side of the landscape. She peeps letting Lancaster know that it's all clear on her side.

Lancaster does the same for his side of the landscape. The only thing he sees is a few giraffs. He peeps letting Lavender know it's also clear on his side.

Linda continues to sleep soundly, confident that no danger is in the burrow.

Ariel presses against Linda's warm body, trying to keep warm.

Lancaster takes advantage of the tranquility to watch the giraffs. He watches them with curiousity as they use their long tongues to slurp leaves from a camel thorn tree.

Lavender sees a flock of drongos in the distance and wonders if they're the same drongos that pestered them earlier.

Linda snores in her sleep, Ninja still in thought.

Ariel is asleep as well, still pressed against Linda.

Lavender watches the drongos dart passed each other in the sky. They're aerial menuvres are starting to make her dizzy.

Lancaster glances off to his left as he spots a sudden movement in the corner of his eye. Luckily it isn't anything to be wary about. It's just the yellow mongoose and her pups plodding about.
