Roleplay- 15th of November

Tank follows eager to stuff his face. Having had almost next to nothing when he was on his own and was depending on only 3 heavily pregnant females to look after him, he missed being able to eat decent meals within the protection of a real mob.

Lancaster follows behind his brother, taking his time. He's become lazy recently.

Bravo follows at the calls up towards the front.

Linda follows too, but at the back. She's nervous and edgy.

Ariel watches them leave and squeaks. Who will stay with her, her littermates and the new pups?

Maylene looks around wondering is anybody else is going to stay behind because she's not watching over her own pups and Buckeye's as well. She'll take care of her own pups.

Lancaster stops, having not much motivation to want to walk a long distance to a foraging spot today. He looks back at the burrow and realizes that no one has volunteered to stay behind and help Maylene watch over the pups, and also leaving the confused Ariel behind above ground ground to wonder who will look after her and her baby relatives. Lancaster changes his mind and makes his way back to the burrow. He's decided to be the first volunteer to help Maylene with babysitting duty.

Tank suddenly loses track of his brother and looks around wondering where he went. He was just walking to his right and then he went poof. When he checks over his shoulder, he sees Lancaster heading back to the burrow and gasps remembering that the pups were almost left to fend for themselves. He sighs relieved that his conscientious brother had taken notice and decided to take the initiative to watch over them. Then he remembers that Maylene and Josephine are still back there so he relaxes knowing that they're in safe paws.

ooc- Okay so here's what I got. Snicker and Yoshkat's pup (don't know the name) will be injured by Linda. Pancake and Kusuma aren't active and never approved, so they along with Allyson's pup won't be harmed unless their respective owners say otherwise. Meerkats, you can decide if your pup's injuries will be fatal if you choose so later, but I'll just injure them for now. Also, Josephine's at the burrow?

Ariel watches as they get further and further away. She gets nervous when there's only one adult. She sees Lancaster return and peeps in excitement.

Linda looks back, her instincts screaming at her. Now's her chance! She hesitates and tries to keep walking forward and not look back any more

ooc: If Maylene even TOUCHES Luna's pups... bad things will happen. But I think Kusuma wanted hers to stay alive.

Lancaster arrives at the burrow and offers the worried Ariel a little cuddle. If no one is in a hurry to volunteer to babysit he'll happily oblige to take up the responsibility even if he ends up looking after the pups alone and even if he has to go another day without eating. He tends to take babysitting duty very seriously and is loyal to performing the job.

Feeling that his pups are in the capable paws of his brother Lancaster and mate Maylene, Tank is confident in them that they won't let anything bad happen to the pups.

ooc: My pup's name is Triscuit. Since Pancake and Kusuma haven't decided what they want to happen to their pups, maybe for now Linda could injure the 2 that are planned to be attacked. When do you plan to have Linda attack Maylene's pups? Also I think Josephine is still in the burrow I don't think Maybelline rped her yet on the new day...or I can't remember lol.

ooc- Very soon. She'll sneak away while still heading out to forage.

ic- Linda grits her teeth. It's getting harder to resist this window of opportunity. They're out of sight by now, but it's not too late.

ooc: luna won't get involved... as much as I hate Maylene, Luna doesn't need a pup killer reputation.

Maylene then heads above ground and scavenges the bushes for grub and picks up two beetles and then heads right back below ground to her pups.

Luna follows the group, but is on edge. She doesn't trust Maylene to stay with Buckeye's pups.

ooc: Okeedokee. I'll have Lancaster be distracted when she sneaks into the burrow.

Lancaster releases Ariel from his cuddle and stands up on his hind legs. Being the only babysitter above ground, he's on edge and being extra vigilant for predators and rival meerkat gangs whilst keeping an eye on Ariel to make sure she doesn't slip away from the burrow and get lost. Lancaster watches as Maylene leaves the burrow to get a quick snack then return above ground.

Triscuit is full from feeding from her mother and goes to sleep. She's blissfully unaware of the impending danger that Linda is about to bring down on her.

Red Wood feels around and then begins to feed from her mother again.

Linda can resist her instincts no more. She has to do it! Her own pups will be at stake if she doesn't! She obeys her instinctive drive and sneaks away from the main group, heading back for the burrow with murderous intent.

Bravo doesn't notice her dissappear.

Ariel heads into the burrow to play in there.

Maylene then churrs to her pups and is unaware of Linda coming, but would do her best to not let Linda get at them.

Linda keeps walking, still obeying her instincts.

ooc- I was planning she would sneak in undetected and not be caught until one of the pups yelps, or is caught in the act.

ooc- Maylene's going to let her guard down a little because she's going to go down the burrow to check on Buckeye's pups.

Maylent then licks her pups and then walks down a little into the burrow and grooms Buckeye's pups, but does no harm to them.

Luna suddenly darts back. She decides to babysit today, not sure of Maylene. She does not notice Linda.

Unaware of Linda giving in to her murderous instincts and Luna also deciding to head back, Lancaster turns his attention to the sky when he hears what he thought was a hawk screech but discovers that it was only a drongo. He narrows his eyes at the bird. Nice try but no one has any food to fork over so the mock predator call was a waste. He sits down feeling like he can relax now that Ariel has gone below. For now, he doesn't have to keep a constant eye on adventure craving pups or more like pup in this case.

Tank doesn't notice Linda slipping away and continues to follow in the middle of the group.

Luna stops when she sees the burrow. She hasn't heard any yelps. Maylene hadn;t done anything yet. She didn't want to risk it though, and heads below ground.

Bravo doesn't notice Luna leave either.

Linda keeps walking, passing by a large tree visable from the burrow. She's close.

Maylene then plays with Buckeye's pups for a little while. Then she chirps to them to follow her if they'd like to. Maylene then begins a slow trek back to her pups as she wanted to be careful with Buckeye's pups.

Luna snarls when she sees Maylene and charges. She blocked off her exit, telling her to go no further with Buckeye's pups.

ooc" Luna's doing this so Maylene can't get to her pups for Linda...

Lancaster nods a greeting to Luna. He isn't one to easily suspect any foul play she may have planned as he is one to easily trust and doesn't mind when she heads below. All he cares about is the more babysitters there are the easier babysitting duty gets. He is unaware of the violent drama unfolding in the burrow.

Triscuit can sense the vibrations of another meerkat in the burrow and squeaks unable to see or hear what's going on.

ooc- But Luna shouldn't know. Linda sneaked off unnoticed. Please just have Luna stay out of it for now.

ic- Linda gets closer, the burrow slowly coming back into view.
