Role Play- 8th of December

Aliya didn't want to go out foraging again. They could lose more members. She decides to stay at the burrow for the rest of the day.

Suri looks up at the clouds, transfixed.

Emzio looks around again.

Mischka takes advantage of this tranquility to tend to his scratches. He grooms his shoulder, which had gotten nicked in the chaos.

Suri also decides to tend to her scratches, since they were starting to sting.

*Velmarie searched for awhile, but couldn't find anything in the shallow sands around the burrow...maybe John was having better luck.*

Mischka winces feeling a scratch on his face burning. He rubs his left paw over the minor wound trying to ease the discomfort.

*Velmarie noticed poor Mischika rubbing his wounds, being caring as she was, she went over and gently groomed his wounds, trying not to make them hurt more.*

John frowns as he didn't have a lot of luck either. Not a lot of food was around the burrow. Sighing, he went back toward the burrow. He didn't want to go away from the burrow, the raid left him scared for everyone else. He felt if he turned his back for even a second, the mob would be killed. He shakes his head slowly. No, the Midnights won't come back... They wouldn't... Would they?

Linda sighs and peeps a question to Ninja. Should they risk moving the pups?

Mischka peeps thankfully at Velmarie. He sighs in relief as his pain gradually begins to wane.

Ninja glances over at Linda, a look of apprehension on his face. If they move the pups, they'll be taking a gamble of exposing them to predators or worse, the Midnights if they're still in Jumaa territory. He shifts uneasily, unsure of what to do. If they keep the pups here the Midnights could return to finish their murderous deed, if they move them they risk attracting predators and exposing them to the enemy. Either way both choices come with their potential own dangers.

*Velmarie was glad she could help. Now that Mischka seemed better, she walked back over to John. She could sense the death of the pups still bothered him. It was a pretty hard blow to take.*

John sighed heavily. He knew he shouldn't be sad forever. Otherwise, the pup's spirits would not rest peacefully. He gazes up at the sky, thinking about the two. They were safe now, they can play among the clouds without worrying about getting hurt anymore.

Aliya looks around warily.

Suri continues grooming her wounds. She couldn't reach her neck which had been badly injured in the fight, but she knew she'd be fine.

Emzio rests her head on her paws and sighs. She knew this was what nature did to many pups, but felt slight guilt not having faced the same fate when she was also burrow confined.

Mischka suddenly feels a warm sensation of peace come over him which is soon followed by relief and relaxation. Could it have been a message from the pups' spirits letting him know they're safe and happy in meerkat heaven? A nagging belief ebbs at his conscience. He thinks so.

Suri is still grooming herself, not having felt that eerie sensation that Mischka was.

Linda gets up and decides to go above ground for the time being.

Tyson whines when his mother leaves.

Ninja remains where he is. He isn't ready to remerge and face the gloomy atmosphere again just yet. He shifts closer to the pups and gently pulls them close to him for more snuggles. These 4 remaining pups are even more valuable as they are the survivors of the raid and have been given the chance to carry on Ninja and Linda's legacies and spread their gene pool through out the Kalahari once they're gone. Ninja will be making sure from now on that these 4 pups don't leave their parents' protective sights ever again.

Ninji squeals in protest she felt the warmth of her mother leave her side but as she felt her father pull her close to him, she calms down and nestles into his soft fur.

Phoebe is startled when Linda leaves, but is comforted when she feels herself close to Ninja. Feeling tired, she curls up beside him and begins to doze off.

ooc: What happened? What's going on?

ooc: Nothing really. The jumaa are still mourning the loss of the 2 pups and Chocolatine is still waiting to be accepted as she socializes with some of the group members.

ooc: Is it the end of the day?

ooc: Not yet. A huge battle between the Midnights, Jumaa and Willows is supposed to take place but I'm not sure if it's still planned to occur on this RP day.

ooc- It's planned to accure this day, but things are going slow. Would it still be legit if the Jumaa decides to get revenge a week later?

ooc: I think that would be better. They'll be less shaken up by then and will be taken over by vegence.

ooc: I think that sounds like a good idea. Aliya may be nice, but with an opposition like the Midnights, even she would be eager to get vengance.

bic: Aliya continues scanning the area. She doubted the Midnights would return for the time being. They seemed to get what they wanted. However, she wasn't going to let her guard down.

OOC; ANOTHER battle? Wooow. In this one can someone injure Velmarie's leg? But first she'll put up a fight for it.
