Roleplay - 15th of July 2009

Leaf rubbed her chin against the pup to reassure their bond and resumed tenderly grooming Scar’s back removing any unwanted parasites.

Morning Glory sprang up from her relaxed position, kicking sand up behind her as she fled across the sand to join Tisca. Sounding a worried bark she stood on her hind legs next to Tisca and repeatedly called out to her missing sister.

Tisca scoured the area for the missing meerkats, but she couldn't see them.
Scar, however, heard Morning Glory's worried calls, and indicated to Leaf that they should be heading home.
Cloud Catcher huffed sulkily. He didn't want to go home!

Leaf gently nuzzled against Scar, now that she had found Cloud Catcher she wasn’t in any major hurry to head back to her new family. Hearing the call of the other meerkats, Leaf knew that they would be shortly discovered unless they moved in the opposite direction. Chirping happily she turned to Scar looking for some guidance.

Scar tilted his head at Leaf, slightly confused. When he thought he understood, he leaned forward, grooming Leaf's shoulder. When done, he stood up, and walked in the other direction, where he and Leaf could have some privacy.
Cloud Catcher huffed angrily, and decided home might not be such a bad idea.

Accepting Scar’s invitation, Leaf gave Cloud Catcher a gentle nudge goodbye before leaving him sitting alone in the sand.

When he and Leaf were alone, Scar began to groom her. He didn't want her to be uncomfortable.
Cloud Catcher ran in the direction of home. Luckily, it wasn't long before he was spotted by Tisca. He chirped at her; Leaf and Scar had run off! Tisca picked him up and brought him to Morning Glory.

Morning Glory chirped delightedly as Tisca came into her view carrying Cloud Catcher. Over the last few days she had developed a strong admiration for Tisca’s determination and enthusiasm and she was proud to have such a loyal meerkat in the family.
Sniffing the pup, Morning Glory began to scent mark him to welcome him home. Relieved that the little male meerkat was safely back where he belonged, she stood on her back legs and made a last desperate call out for Leaf.

Tisca blushed slightly, as if she could read Morning Glory's thoughts. Cloud Catcher chirped agitatedly again, and yawned, unable to stop it. It was getting late.
Scar heard Morning Glory's call. He ignored it, and turned to Leaf. He was ready to mate with her, if she allowed.

With no response from Leaf, Morning Glory gave a series of lead calls to the small group to head them in the direction of the burrow if they were willing to follow.

Turning her back to the direction of the calls, Leaf accepted Scar’s offer to mate.

ooc: I had a dream last night that this site had 123 active members and it wasn't dying! Too bad it's just a dream.
Anyho, we need to finish this day up, so Scar and Leaf can either join them today, or join them tomorrow.

bic: Scar mated wiht Leaf, and afterwards, he continued to groom her.
When the Little Clouds reached their burrow, Tisca gather Clover and Cloud Catcher and took them deep into the burrow. Today had been a busy day.

Ooc:aww Dipsy I hope things will pick up again.

Ic: Still in the presence of Scar, Leaf rose up on her back legs and called out to the rest of the family. Hearing only her lonely calls on the evening breeze, she sunk onto the sand and began to wonder if they should start a desperate search for a bolt hole or a disused burrow before night fell.

Watching the rest of The Little Clouds, Morning Glory sat at the burrow’s entrance looking for any sign of her missing sister around the perimeter.

ooc: I'm sure it will live, I just need to find a way to attract new members.

bic: Scar chirped to Leaf. He had found a bolt-hole where they could stay the night. They could rejoin the Little Clouds tomorrow.
Back at the Burrow, Tisca drifted into sleep. Cloud Catcher was by her side, dreaming happy thoughts.
