Mozart Sits Nervously its Getting Dark And The Foraging Party Haven't Returned Yet . Mozart Stares Into The Dark She Doesn't Know Whether To Head Out Looking For The Rest Of The Group Or To Sit And Wait . She Stands On A Dirt Mound And Whimpers . She Stays Erect But Finally Gets Down And She Decides To head Out And Look . She Gets HalfWay When She Stops She Looks Ahead And Sees The Gleeming Eyes Of A Jackal She Raises An Alarm Call but Realises That The Jackal Heard She Starts Running Towards The Burrow Direction She Dives Into A Bolt Hole But The Jackal Catches Her By Her Scruff And Shakes Her Back And Fourth Mozart Turns Round And Bites The Jackals Nose And She Is Released She Goes Into The Bolt Hole And Waits Til This Elusive Predator Wanders off .

Mozart Pokes Her Head Out Of The Burrow The Jackal Has Gone . Mozart Emerges And Runs Back To The Burrow Well She Tries . her Leg Is Hurting The jackal Caught Her Leg Aswell . She Limps home And Collapses At The Burrow Entrance

Sarah stood near Ariel, silent.

occ: Mozart Looked At The Pups And Cried For Help She Looked Down At her Leg which was Now Throbbing She Let Out A Call For Help No one answered

Ahead of the foraging party near the outskirts of the burrow complex, Josephine sat alone at the top of a bush watching the movements of the jackal as it wandered away. Nervous, she bobbed her head occasionally hoping to see any signs of life emerge from below ground. The only thing she could identify was a meerkat body lying outside one of the entrances.
Panicked that the body could be her beloved hero Lancaster, she stretched up tall and chirped occasionally to herself..unaware that she could potentially be a sitting target to an aerial predator.

Mozart Calls Louder Hoping Someone Will hear her . She Sat up As best She Could . She Chirped Loudly

Twitching, Josephine wobbles from her post and takes the brave decision to climb down the bush. Seeing the meerkat ahead of her move gives her the hope that the babysitters and pups are alive.
Glancing across the open space of sand, she sniffs the air and cautiously makes her approach towards Mozart.

Lancaster looks down at Mozart worried. Her leg looked terrible. Things seem to be suddenly taking a turn for the worse for the Willows. 3 of Maylene's pups were brutally attacked by Linda and now an adult member has been attacked by a jackal. Lancaster looks away from Mozart and sighs depressed. If they lose 4 members, they could find themselves heading down a path of hard times.

Tank hasn't heard the struggle between Mozart and the jackal and is still tending to his pups. He leans over, but carefully so as to not crush the tiny pups, to offer Maylene some tender grooming. It's now a wait and see situation to see if the 3 injured pups survive over the next couple of days.

Triscuit yowls and twitches as a surge of pain radiates through her broken leg.

Mozart Howls To lancaster To Get Tank And Maylene

Josephine watched Lancaster emerge from the burrow with caring eyes, and noticed how depressed his mood has become. Knowing that Mozart safety has to come before her feelings for Lancaster, she gently nudges the injured female’s side encouraging her to try and stand, she’d lend a shoulder of aid if it was required to lean against.

Mozart Got Up Shakily And Tried to walk But Starting Going Sideways And She Toppled Into The Burrow Rolling Into the burrow Chamber And bumping against the burrow wall

Lancaster gasps and rushes below to see if Mozart is ok. He sees her laying against the burrow wall and nudges her helping to get up. Naturally caring he's willing to offer her any asisstance she may need.

Tank jumps spooked when he hears a crash. He peeks out from the chamber and sees the injured Mozart laying against the burrow wall. He steps out and peeps in shock wondering what the heck happened.

Triscuit squeaks frightened. She felt a vibration from the crash.

Mozart Lent Against Lancaster And Got Up She managed To Crawl Above Ground but She Was Dragging Her Leg Behind Her . SHe Howled In Pain And Colapsed Again But This Time She fell into a ant nest . She Howled In Pain As The Ants Nibbled At her Flesh She Tried to Shake Them off but Failed Rubbing Against a trees she finally got them off She Colapsed under The Tree .

Lancaster helps Mozart above ground using his shoulder to help keep her supported. He cringes at Mozart's fall and even more when she lands in an ants nest. Today seems to be filled with one disaster after another and he's almost at his breaking point. Lancaster keeps himself together and tries to help Mozart remove the stinging ants from her fur.

Tank bounds out of the burrow after Lancaster and Mozart. He notices her injured leg and gasps. It appears she's been attacked most likely by a predator. He also watches her predicament with a cringe.

Mozart Licks Lancasters Face With Her Tongue Saying Thank You She Kissed Him And Limped off ,

Lancaster nods grateful to have helped. He blinks as he's kissed. He looks around hoping Josephine didn't notice. The only female he has strong feelings for is her and he wouldn't want to her to take Mozart's affection towards him the wrong way.

Tank watches Mozart limp off concerned.

Mozart Asks Him If He Likes her And She Licks His cheek Again She Lies Down Next To Tank And looks up At Him SHe Tells Him SHe Will Atleast The jackal Didnt Hurt he That Much Well Maybe It did But Mozart Would Live

Lancaster raises an eyebrow at her flirtacious behavior. He peeps letting her know he likes her as a friend but has no interest in wanting to become her mate. He already has one, Josephine, and wants to stay with her for a while.

Tank narrows his eyes at Mozart. He wasn't liking how close she was becoming to him. Another female ending up pregnant now could spell disaster. After Linda attempted to kill off his whole litter the group can ill afford to deal with another pregnant female. But Tank knows his brother Lancaster. He hasn't yet mated with Josephine so Mozart has no chance. Lancaster is patient, loyal and respectful and won't mate with a female until the time is right and now isn't.

Seeing Mozart come back above ground again, Josephine tilts her head in a confused manner. She can only presume that this unlucky female is a determined fighter and won’t let an injury keep her down.
Noticing Mozart’s display of affectionate behaviour, Josephine chirps to herself and tilts her head before turning away. There’s little she can do about it right now, if she takes the situation it the wrong way and challenges the new female she could herself be evicted by dominant female Buckeye for showing insubordinate behaviour towards Lancaster. Sighing, she felt slightly torn over the matter, The Willows were the only real family she been a part of since her early years trying to fight for survival in a small splinter group with her brother.

Lancaster feels guilty as Josephine sees the affection he's recieving from Mozart. He scootches away from Mozart and now feels he may have ruined any chances he had with staying with Josephine. He has no strong feelings for Mozart and wants to let Josephine know he still loves HER. He growls at Mozart showing her he has no interest in her.

Tank purposely pushes himself in between Lancaster and Mozart. He'll make sure to keep them seperate. He doesn't feel Mozart should be with his brother and still doesn't trust her. Her over confidence could also lead him into trouble.
