Roleplay - 15th of July 2009

Simons lagged behind. Rejected in love, his disappointment showed. However, he could still get lucky with other ladies.

Buckeye led the group closer to Devils terriotry until finally reaching the end of their own. Now stronger, Buckeye felt the time was right to take revenge out on their arch-enemies. She took the first steps into their rivals' teriotry, making sure her family was close by.

Verniece looks at Simmons sadly. She hadn't meant it that way; he was still a friend to her, she just didn't want to be disloyal and mate. She gives him a tentative smile, then looks over toward the rival border. She frowns, a bit afraid but won't back down if it it Buckeye's voice. She follows, looking straight ahead but also very alert.
Hutch follows in his sister's wake, not sensing anything wrong. He is curious about the new smells and sights and squeaks, running in circles.

Keeko follows nervously. He wasn't sure if invading the Devils was the right thing to do, but if that is what Buckeye wanted, he would follow without question.

Back in Willows terriotry, Buckeye began to lead the group back to their burrow. It was far away from the border, so even if the Devils came knocking, it would still be hard for them to find Buckeye's family. As they travelled, Buckeye caught a bug or two, filling her cravings.

Tuck walked around, and dug some small holes, so he could eat. Being new to foraging, the only thing he came across was an anthill. And it annoyed him. There wasn't enough food on the anthill to feed ANYONE. He quickly gobbled up a few ants, just to keep him going, and began following Buckeye, lagging slightly

Seeing that Tuck was lagging behind, Keeko picked him up and carried him, bringing him near the front. He also kept a careful eye on Splash and Hutch, to make sure they were keeping up aswell.

Seeing that her family was lagging, Buckeye decided to stop. She let the pups play and relax while she groomed the adults.

Keeko lay down in the shade, greatful for a rest. He put Tuck down, and encouraged him to go play with Hutch and Splash.

Hutch smiled and squeaked, swatting at Tuck playfully.
Verniece watched, smiling, while she rested.

Keeko smilled too. Young pups always cheered you up. He rested his head for a quick kat-nap.

Tuck snapped at Hutch. He loved it when the adults gave him attention, so he always gave attention back. When he finally got a chance, he snapped Hutches tail, hoping he'd find it just as fun as he did

Keeko looked up from his nap. What were the pups up to now?

Hutch let out a pupish giggle and squealed, nipping playfully at Tuck.

Tuck jumped up and landed flat on his back. Realizing that Hutch might have him pinned, he spun onto his back, kicking some sand onto Hutch, and curiously watched to see how he would respond.

Keeko rolled over, leaving the pups to play by themselves.

Turning his attention away from Hutch, Tuck sniffed at Keeko, wanting attention.

Keeko looked up sleepily. What did he want? He stretched, and sat up, looking out for danger.

Tuck playfully climbed on top of Keeko. Even if Keeko we're to get irritated, he needed comfort at the moment. Despite the distracting playtime, the nervousness from being in the other territory hadn't faded.

Picking up on Tuck's nervousness, Keeko sat down, chirping calmly. He broughgt Tuck close to him and groomed the top of his head.

Tuck half closed his eyes and snuggled closer to Keeko, he suddenly felt the urge to pick up where the sleep had been left off the night before. He nuzzled into Keeko, and drifted into his dreams.

Keeko smiled, and continued to look for danger.

Hutch giggled and ran around. When he saw Tuck was asleep, he went over and cuddled into Verniece's fur with a yawn.
Verniece nuzzles Hutch, realizing she's a bit drowsy herself.

Keeko chirped to Verniece, to let her know that he was watching over the family.

Tuck awakes uneasily. Everyone was quiet, and he was starting to get frightened. He never usually woke up in mid-sleep like this. Being the weird way he was, he crawled over to Verniece and nuzzled in beside her, asking for comfort. Keeko was a good trusted member of the family, but two meerkats can keep one warm better than one can.

Keeko watched Tuck go, not offened by him moving. He had had enough rest and he wanted to get moving. He called to the others, slowly waking them up.
