Roleplay - 15th of July 2009

Tuck looked over at Keeko and made a small joke by smiling about how when he moved he didn't get any sleep beside Verniece.

Keeko smiled, and led them off in the direction of a new foraging patch. This particular patch happened to be right on the border with one of their other nieghbours, The Twilights.

Tuck rushed to keep up with Keeko. He was taller than him, and when Keeko walked, it took Tuck a small jog to even come close to him. As he tried to move at the pace Keeko was moving, he tripped and went down, flat on his snout.

Keeko turned around and picked Tuck up, and set him back on his feet. Before moving into the clearing, he checked the area, to make sure the Twilights were no where near.

Tuck slowly tiled his head around, and into the sky. Nothing... not a cloud in the sky. A PERFECT day. Tuck lightly pawed at the surface of the dirt, looking for food.

Keeko dug into the sand, and came out with a scorpion. He handed it to Tuck, before moving on to find himself some food.

Tuck eagerly thanked him for the meal, and followed, curious to see what he might find

Keeko dug into the sand, and this time he caght a lizard. He ate it, not wanting to share this time.

Are there some members of the Willows that haven't been acted out lately?? I know there were a few more other than Keeko, Buckeye, Hutch, Splash, Simmons, Verniece, and Tuck...

Buckeye followed Keeko, glad to allow her mate to lead the group. She was tired and full, so she stayed on guard most of the time as her family foraged. They had never encountered the Twilights before, so she made sure to keep her family close to their border. When one of the pups wandered off, she ran over to them, groomed them gently, and carried them back to the group. She sat, letting the boisterous pups play with her ears and nuzzle her.

Tuck decided not to play around much, and just rested where he was.

Hoping to gather Tuck's trust and ease his nerves, Buckeye groomed him and allowed him to nuzzle in with her for naps. She watched as her extended family foraged around her. What a day this has been!

Tuck looked up at Buckeye, and snuggled into her. Despite sometimes being on edge around her sometimes, he loved her, like he loved the other members of the family. He helped Buckeye look for danger, while ironically, hiding behind her at the same time.

ooc: According to my list, the Willows members are Keeko, Buckeye, Verneice, Hutch, Splash, Simmons, Miley and Crash (Jack's characters who haven't been introduced) and Tuck.
I asked these people on the support forum to review my forum, and they said I needed a moderator. I think it's like a mini admin. Anyway, I'll be giving it some thought and I'll appoint a moderator sometime soon.

bic: Keeko continued foraging, but his efforts were wasted this time. He looked over the borderline, keeping an eye out for danger.

What does a moderator do?? And btw, can a meerkat controlled by a member go roving, like Simons? How would that work?

Buckeye stood close by to Keeko, watching out for danger as well. The Twilights could be just as vicious as the Devils, but the Willows would stand their ground either way.

Simmons, on the other hand, has resumed following his emotions. Verniece seems to have lost interest in his advances, but this may be the perfect opportunity for a bit of roving. He stayed on the outer edges of the group.

Splash, tired of froaging, jumps on Hutch and chirps for Tuck to join in.

A moderator would be a great idea . A moderator is given the option to ban for any amount of time they want. They cannot edit the board itself. Moderators are basically the police force for the forum, giving warning when rules are broken, and banning when the rules are excessively broken.

Tuck launched himself at the two in a way to say that he was going to play until the other two dropped of tiredness. He began nipping at the others, chirping happily as he did so.

Hutch, loosing interest in staying still, wriggling around out of Verniece's grasp and darts over to Tuck, wanting to play.

Suddenly, Buckeye spotted something in the air. It looked like an eagle. She made the alarm call and dashed for the nearest bolt hole. Simmons and Splash followed, but she couldn't see the other members. They were all far away from their home burrow, and being so close to enemy territory, they were in a serious predicament.

Verniece nudges Hutch and chirps to Tuck,, leading them to a bolthole.

ooc: I'll ask the people I'd like to be moderators via PM. And Simmons can go roving.

bic: Keeko ran to the bolt hole, and leaped inside. He poked his head out of the bolt-hole, looking for any other members of the group.

Buckeye kept up the alarm calls. The bird was circling around above. They would have to hold it out for a little while longer.

Tuck, having not faced this situation before, didn't EXACTLY know how to react. He was petrified, but he was excited at the same time. For now though, he stayed in the safety of the bolt hole. The safety of his family....

Seeing the eagle flying off, Buckeye stopped making her calls and finally led her group out of the bolt hole. Feeling it was a time to return home, she led the way back to their burrow.

Verniece cautiously emerges from the burrow, Hutch right after her. Confused, he runs over to Tuck.

Tuck leaps at Hutch, acting as if nothing happened. He was still feeling the adrenaline from the eagle, and needed to let it all out.

Keeko sighed with relief, and kept an eye out for the eagle. He looked across to the Twilights territory. No one was there, but he still felt uneasy. He chirped to Buckeye, hoping to head deeper into their territory.
