Roleplay-24th of December

As the distance between him and the potential pup murderers shortens to 20 feet, Lancaster realizes upon closer inspection the bigger meerkat isn't Ghost and he almost instantly recognizes the smaller figure. Is that Grace? He slows down to a trot, making eye contact with the stranger she's with, cringing as he saw his nasty looking facial deformity. Who's that and what happened to his face? He stares at that side of Phantom's face with an expression mixed with horror, curiosity and shock.

OOC: I have a character due to be introduced here (Ixchel), and instead of the normal approach-the-group-and-hopefully-be-accepted thing, I was thinking that she could be foraging as well and somehow not notice the Willows and them not notice her until she's almost within the foraging party. Then we can play the whole act-submissive-and-be-accepted-(hopefully) thing. xD. Just trying to make things different. :3. Sound good?

Grace peeped in a friendly way to Lancaster... Sarah glanced at Phantom curiously.

ooc: I think I may have to kill off/disperse most of my characters...

((OOC: Sounds good to me Youssy. And okay Pancake, whatever makes it easier on you.))

Phantom notices the looks the two are giving him and moves his face to where the more "normal" part is seen while the ugly side was hidden. Thinking Lancaster was the dominant male, he got low, showing submission, while still keeping his facial disfigurement hidden.

Lancaster lowers his head, feeling guilty that he may have offended Phantom by gawking at his facial disfigurement. He peeps apologetically, assuring him he didn't mean to make him feel ashamed about the way he looks. He was only curious as to how that side of his face ended it up maimed. He places his curiosity aside when he's submitted to. He shakes his head, letting Phantom know it isn't his job to accept him into the group. He's just a subordinate. His fate rests in the paws of the Willow's dominant male, Keeko. He explains to Phantom the Willows are currently out foraging and won't be back until later, but he's welcomed to make himself at home at the burrow.

Phantom shook his head. Its okay, he was used to that. He got that kind of stare daily. It was something in his life he's gotten used to, mostly. Some times he'd shrug it off, some times it found a way to hurt and remind him how ugly and scary he looked... Hearing Lancaster wasn't the dominant male, he slowly rose. So, he was right, the mob was forging. Well... Guess he could stick around and see if he'd be accepted. Or turned away for his ugly facial disfigurement.

Molly also was in shock at the facial mark on Phantom. But she shook off her shock. It was rude to stare, she didn't want to offend him. From how he looked, he looked to be seeking a home. Did he get his horrible facial scar from a fight? Or did a big predator strike him? They would not know until Phantom told them himself.

Lancaster is relieved he didn't upset Phantom. He imagines the male endures stares frequently and has eventually learned to tolerate the gawks of curiosity, but he also understands the pain it must cause him sometimes. Some of those stares he endures are most likely mixed with horror and disgust as well. Lancaster would hate it if other meerkats gave him rude stares if he was in Phantom's paws. He makes sure to keep that in mind the next time he finds himself gawking at Phantom's deformity.

Grace tilted her head. She found Phantom to look a little different, yes, but she was more curious than frightened... Nevertheless, she'd try not to look at his face so often...

Phantom nods in understanding. He softly peeps, explaining he was attacked as a newborn by a pregnant female, and his face had been horribly maimed. Even though his mother came in time, the damage was done and his wound never healed property. Which resulted in his current facial disfigurement.

Lancaster feels sympathy for Phantom after hearing his dark story. Poor male. So that's how he recieved the nasty facial scar, he was the victim of an attempted infantacide. It's a miracle he's alive. The mother- to- be that attacked him obviously showed at least some mercy but at a terrible cost. She had left him permanently disfigured. Hearing a sad story like that will certainly inflict guilt and sympathy on anyone who discriminates him.

Sarah listens to the story quietly... Interested...

Grace tilts her head. She lays down by Phantom.

Meanwhile, at the foraging party, Tank has unveild what he had been expecting to find, a scorpion. He's glad to know his keen scense of smell didn't decieve him and is still powerful. Almost instantly, the scorpion erects its stinger defensively, aiming it at Tank, poised to plundge the toxic tip into his flesh the moment he makes a wrong move. Sadly the odds are stacked against the scorpion as Tank has immunity to its deadly venom. Tank jerks forward, swiftly ripping off the stinger, leaving the arachnid defenseless. As Tank was about to grab the scorpion with his powerful jaws, his daughter, Saja, darts over, whisking the scorpion off the ground as she past, and runs off snickering mischieviously.

Tank watches his daughter run off with his stolen prize in shock over how fast she carried out her mischievous deed. Her nimble mobility is absolutely impressive. She must've gotten her cleverness and swiftness from her mother. He smiles at one of his pride and joy. He's not upset she robbed him of his delectable prize. There are more scorpions out there. He'll always find more.

Carmella glances at her sister, tilting her head. She begins digging herself... Very hungry right now.

Tank proceeds foraging, obscuring himself behind a bush hoping his sneaky daughter won't see the next morsel he digs up and try to steal it.

Saja notices her sister Carmella looking at her questioningly and grins mischievously before proceeding to forage as well, this time planning to earn her own food.

Ashtail doesn't notice what Saja did, having been digging deep, being almost out of sight from the hole she made.

Phantom nods slowly. Not many got to hear his story, as they'd keep their distant from him and insult him from afar. But he's okay. Another part of his life he had gotten used to. But he hoped he could find a home here. Everyone at the burrow are the first who haven't chased him off because of his looks.

Molly looks sad. What a sad story... It sounded like something that Phantom didn't deserve. He seemed like a sweet and nice male. Who could ever treat someone like him so badly?

Daisy stays close to Lavander and watched Saja steal her father's meal. Why did she do that? Shaking her head, she went back to forging.

Tank unearths a spider, which he swiftly grabs off the ground before his daughter could get a chance to sneak up and snatch his morsel. Looking around, he's relieved to see she isn't in his vicinity. He devours his prey in peace.

Saja finds some beetle larvae 3 inches into the ground and devours them one by one with pleasure.

Lancaster shakes his head. It's sad those meerkats refused to get to know Phantom. If they had been accepting enough to, they would've gotten to learn he's a very nice male. Well, Phantom doesn't have to worry about getting tormented anymore because the Willows will surely treat him with respect, he hopes. Lancaster is confident though that the Willows will be accepting and respectful torwards him.

Tyler walked to Phantom

Lancaster watches Tyler approach Phantom curiously. He hopes his intentions aren't to insult the new male's facial deformity.

He circled him he growl silently but then walked over to Lancaster

Phantom watched Tyler. He could hear the male growl, but made no hostile actions at all. He watched Tyler walk off and go over Lancaster. He sighed quietly. Another type of treatment he was used to. Maybe Tyler would come around eventually.

Lancaster frowns with disapproval as he heard Tyler growl. Looks like not everyone is respectful towards him here. He hopes the rest of the Willows treatment won't be the same as Tyler's when they see him. He looks over at Phantom, a bit worried about what the other Willows will think of him.

Molly frowned at how Tyler acted near Phantom. She looked at Tyler with a look of disappointment. Phantom did nothing wrong, and he was a kind male. Why treat him so badly? As if he didn't get that enough as it is. She sighed, also hoping the rest of the Willows will see pass Phantom's scar and see the compassionate and kind male that he was.
