Roleplay- 23rd October

Tank catches the scent of a scorpion beside him and starts to furiously dig at that spot. As he uncovers an object it turns out to be what he has been looking for. A scorpion. Tank bites off the stinger and plucks it off the ground but he hesitates letting the scorpion dangle in his mouth instead of just devouring it instantly. Tank looks down at the scorpion thinking about eating the whole thing then looks to Linda and Bravo seeing that they both can use some more food. Tank chomps the scorpion into 3 pieces and gives 2 pieces to Linda and Bravo. He smiles with graditude then eats his part part of the scorpion.

Bravo looks at his piece and lets Tank have it. He likes to get his own food, no matter how much he might need it. He gets back to digging for some grubs he smells.

Linda happily eats her piece and thanks Tank, grateful for it. She too then gets back to digging for more food.

Tank nods and respects Bravo's decision. He smiles with graditude at Linda as she accepted the other piece. It made him feel better knowing that Linda is getting the nutrision she needs to support her unborn pups. He takes the scorpion piece he had offered to Bravo and eats it quickly then returns to doing some foraging of his own.

Bravo soon has enough for now and decides to aid the mob by taking sentry duty, standing on a stump as he does so.

Linda eats a beetle she finds. Her hunger has dwindled down, but she's still a little hungry, and needs to keep foraging.

Still feeling ravenously hungry, Tank continues foraging. Over the past 4 days he hasn't been getting enough food to eat as it has become scarce and he's lost some weight. He's hoping today he'll fill himself up enough to quiet his growling tummy and gain some of the wieght he's lost.

Bravo keeps a watchful eye as he stands on his senry post. He looks at the surrounding area, closely watching potential hiding spots as well.

Linda finally starts to feel full as she starts finding more prey. She finishes another beetle and decides she's done for right now. She goes over to a soft patch of loose sand still close to the others and lays on her stomach, deciding to rest for now. She closes her eyes and tries to take a short nap.

Keeko scent marks a bush around Buckeye. he wasn't going to mate with her yet, he wanted to see fi he could chase off any rovers. usually he would take his chance, but buckeye was busy now.

Luna digs around for some some sraps, but she isn't finding anything.

Bravo keeps watch. It's dry season, but that doesn't mean there's no rovers out. There's always predators, though, so he looks around for them too.

Linda can't seem to fall asleep. She instead just stays where she is, still resting even if she can't sleep. She sees Buckeye and Keeko and gets nervous. If Buckeye gets pregnant again, her litter's fate could be sealed.

Tank pulls up another millipede. He drags it across the ground then devours it quickly. He notices Keeko scent marking a bush and raises on his hind legs and scans the area. Now that Buckeye is in eostrus she could be a target for any roving males that could be passing through the area. Just incase Tank stays on high alert. He'll willingly help Keeko chase off any rovers that try to entice Buckeye away from the group. But it's very likely that not many rovers will be roving at this time of year so Tank isn't that concerned.

Keeko watches the pregnant females, realizing that if he and buckeye mated again, the two subordinate litters could be lost. He didn't want that to happen, but the group was too large.

Linda stops worrying and keeps resting. She starts to think about Ninja again. She knows it's dry season and rovers aren't really active right now, but she keeps hoping she'll get to see him again. She doesn't want her litter to be fatherless.

Bravo keeps an attentive watch, taking his job very seriously. As food supplies dwindle more and more, predators will start to become more desperate and bold.

Luna pads over to Linda and sits by her. It was a shame that the risk of loosing their litters was high.

Linda sees Luna. They're in the same boat, especially since both of their litters are due at around the same time. Maylene is due before them. She'll wait and see how Buckeye reacts to her litter before guessing what Buckeye will do to her own. She remembers Luna's story about how her litter got killed and she was evicted. She hopes history doesn't repeat itself. She chirps to Luna, nervous about what will happen. This will be her first litter, and she's not prepared to lose it.

Bravo looks around, always prepared for a predator to show up out of nowhere.

ooc- I just realized Luna's litter is fathered by the DM of the Willow's arch rival.

Tank decides to take a break from foraging as his hunger has somewhat vanished. He joins Bravo on gaurd duty and takes to sentry duty up a small tree. He struggles to keep his balance on a thin wobbly branch he has chosen to keep watch on but manages to balance himself on his hind legs and tail. He's on high alert as he scans the area. At this time of year predator attacks will become more common.

ooc: It is ironic, yes, but they had no idea who he was.

ooc- At least not yet.

ic- Linda lays her head down again. She needs to think of something to fall back on if things turn for the worst. She's willing to do anything if it means her litter surviving.

Bravo is relieved when Tank joins him. He keeps a watchful eye, looking in the opposite direction as Tank.

Tank keeps a stern focus on both the sky and horizon. Any lack of concentrationg could change things dramatically in an instant and it could mean another Willows member being lost. The death of Verniece is still fresh on his mind and Tank hopes not to experience the loss of another valued Willow.

Linda decides to get up and start exploring. That always eases her mind. She's still excited about having a litter, despite the risks. She hasn't gone exploring around the group since her encounter with Ninja. She walks along, taking in the scenery as she does. She's already pregnant. What's the harm of it?

Bravo notices Linda start to stray from the others and watches, making sure nothing dangerous catches her off guard.

Tank is unaware of Linda venturing off to explore as his back is to her. He hasn't lost focus since starting sentry duty and hopes to stay vigilant until he decides to switch with someone else. He sounds the 'watchman's song' letting everyone know it's safe to forage.

Linda decides to turn back. There's still a risk of predators and it will only be wasting energy she can't afford to lose. She joins back up with the others and stands to help with sentry duty.

Bravo is relieved when Linda turns back and is grateful when she decides to help with sentry duty.

Tank sees Linda go on gaurd and is also greatful for the extra help on sentry duty. The group can use all the gaurds they need now that the chances of encountering predators has risen.

Maylene now has had a two beetles, some ants, and one scorpion, but is now just picking up ants and after filling her belly up good enough she decides to go back on sentry duty and stands on her hind feet and looks at the skies.

Jackie eats a millepede quickly.

Snowflake finds an ant nest and snaps up all the ants that come near.

Buckeye finished her meal and begins to scent-mark the group, stopping the bickering.

Linda lays submissive and accepts Buckeye's scent marking. She then gets back up and resumes sentry duty.

Bravo also accepts Buckeye's scent marking and gets back to sentry duty.
